What Speakers Do Audio Insiders Own? VMPS RM 30's are owned by one reviewer at Positive Feedback. Martin De Wulf of Bound for Sound has Vmps RM 40's. John Beavers of Positive feedback has RM 30's with the new Constant Directivity Waveguides.A great speaker out of production that I kn...
marsh a200s Great read. That's so sad. I'm glad my amp is really a Coda or I'd sell it for sure. This kind of business is very annoying to hear about. I'd bet Leeds must be having trouble and it sounds as though he deserves it. I don't like to judge but the w...
marsh a200s Rick, thank you. I knew my Innersound amp was made by Coda and Innersound I guess is heading in a new direction. At least that is what someone said when I asked what was going on at Innersound. They said they'd wait for Innersound to make the anno...
Behringer DEQ2496 HELP Hit the button next to the "stop Autoeq" when it's lit. There's three pages there so be sure you're on the right page. Page three will let you watch it do it's thing.
marsh a200s I'd avoid Marsh. They're excellent amps but something is going on with the company and getting info isn't easy. That's my opinion. I like to have gear that a company is readily available if I want them. I may sell my Innersound amp as they are als...
What are the best Audio Compnent Racks Available? I think the best rack is a custom Salamander clone. Costs less too and can be nice and as elaborate as you like.
"Audio, Acoustics & Perception" chap 4 online Thank you
Totem Forest uses a Swan driver??????? You diyer's should let this person know that speaker design is much more complicated than it at first appears. I had the great idea of building myself some world class speakers. A four way design with a budget of 3k. What I learned that is to do a...
Help with SS amplifier? Innersound ESL, many many great user comments over at AA in the planar asylum besides outstanding reviews from the press. I'm amazed that an SS amp can sound this good. So was Harry Pearson. You'd love it. Rarely up for sale is the only downside.
Dunlavy SC IVa or B&W 802 Stevecham: You bring up an excellent question. In fact I think most speakers have some speakers wired out of phase. I too prefer the sound of speakers with first order networks and listen to Vmps. Before these I owned Vandersteen. The reality thou...
The subjectivity of speaker quality Cleaning your ears can have a similar effect. Anyone who hasn't cleaned their ears with earwax remover should try it.
s.s.amp recommendations. Innersound amps have an excellent sound. Extremely smooth and will drive any speaker. Do a search in the planar asylum at AA. Many happy users. Great reviews too.
Dunlavy SC IVa or B&W 802 I think the above guys should be enough but I'd have to agree. The Dunlavy's sound better, period. Of course that's my opinion but for the money they're very good speakers. Your room will work fine.
Anyone heard the new VMPS RM30? Actually the small sweet spot with the planars is no longer. The RM 30's now come with Constant Directivity waveguides that give the RM 30's 180 degrees of dispersion from 280hz on up. You can walk around the room and the image will remain the sam...
Carver Vs. Adcom Stay away from the Carver amps. The Adcom is significantly better. The 5500 is the way to go. |
