Please recommend a powerful tube amplifier
You say you like ARC and Wilson.  What is the issue?  There are a bunch of products on the market that are wonderful.  Do you want a warmer sound?  Better bass control?  What is the issue that is creating the desire to move away from ARC?
Paper Cones in HiFi?
Every material for drivers; paper, aluminum, kevlar, carbon fiber, nomex, ceramic, magnesium, beryllium, etc.... all have pros and cons.  And incidentally, more people than SEAS and Scanspeak make great drivers.  Each material has different charac...
Help look for second amp
Check out the AVM Ovation SA 8.3.  Incredible amp.  Huge power but with a warm profile that will work wonderfully with those Endeavors.
Is lack of xlr connects on preamp ok if streaming?
XLRs are quieter and certain products are at their very best when part of fully balanced systems.  The Lumin X1 May be one of those.  I would talk to the importer for Lumin and get his POV.
Recommendation for Class-A integrated amp
Check out the Canor Audio 1.20.  30w into 8 ohms.  In the very near future (this week I think) Andrew Robinson is going to be reviewing the tube based 1.10 and the hybrid 2.10 integrated amps.  Canor is a brand that has been around in Europe for 2...
what is the best Kt88 to get
For current production, the KR KT88s are incredible.  They have a higher plate dissipation than a typical KT88 and can be driven harder without compromising tube life.  Wonderful detail and great frequency extension.  I have them in a pair of Art ...
Vivid Audio Speakers
I will preface this by saying I am a Vivid dealer who also sells Wilson Benesch and I make my own speakers from fiberglass and carbon fiber sandwich panels.Because of the cabinet design materials and design, they are incredibly revealing.  It make...
Best300b.com???
Oh boy…I have no affiliation with best300B.com.  If you run into an issue, your CC company should refund you.  KR is on vacation till September.  If they don’t have them in-stock, it will be a little while.
Best preamp with built in phono stage?
AVM only does 2 channel gear.  The best selling units are definitely their 2 channel all in ones but the Ovation line is stunningly good.
So damn hard deciding which tube preamp to buy!
The AVM PA 8.3 - Seriously.  With a tube output stage, two sets of RCA & XLR inputs with tone control and the phono stage is $23K.  Add in SS output stage for a subwoofer and it comes in right at $25K.  This is truly a world class preamp.  It ...
Integrated Amps - another thread...
If you are happy with Rega's tonal profile, I would look at the following.  Rega Elicit R - you get more power and a better transformer as you step up.  Rega integrateds do improve as you rise in the line.  I believe this lists for $3K.The Naim Na...
So damn hard deciding which tube preamp to buy!
This is really tough.  No one has them in-stock.  All special order.  The key is finding the right feature set and read some reviews.  In that range, it is tough for something to go horribly wrong.  It is not like you are going to get an ARC, VAC ...
Roon for high end audio?
Roon is compatible with some of the highest end gear in the world.  There are a variety of approaches that you can take.  It sounds like you want a Roon Server on your network that will work and talk to your Savant system and the DBX Venu360.  The...
Non SVS subs with app or remote?
Perlisten - all their subs have a phone based app.  Technologically, they are incredible products.  They aren't cheap but have incredible software and a monstrous amount of power.  I am planning on running a D12s at AXPONA in my room.
Air Tight ATM-300R or Shindo Cortese 300B
Wow, that is miserable.  I wish you luck in terms of finding the right amp.  Good news is Shindo and Air Tight are not average amps and you aren't settling with either of them.  Have you thought about the Luxman?  It is phenomenal and ships with T...
