Why SACD,DVD-A are already DEAD
JB7272 just wait until the next issue when Telig completely reverses his position or at the very least modifies it to some degree as he always does. He is of absolutley no use to consumers. Between selling scam trips to where ever he's interested ...
Why SACD,DVD-A are already DEAD
Untill Pioneer came out with players that could play both new mediums (too little, too late?) it forced the 1%'ers (consumers who must have cutting edge) to choose or buy both , in either case risking the embarssment of being suckered. For the tr...
Anybody Tried this Room Correction Program?
Ezmeraldall why compromise the signal with analog at all?
linelevel pre that facilitates balanced bi-amping?
So far I have found one that meets all the criteria, the GamuT.
Ohm Speakers, thoughts?
7p62mm thank you very much, yes this helps quite a bit.
Ohm Speakers, thoughts?
I am facinated with the prospect of hearing these speakers. Years ago I heard them at dealer, but only briefly. The next time I went back, they were gone. I assumed they went out of business. Is it fully omni-directional. Are they time and phase c...
Opinions on Classe Amps?
I have only heard them at dealers. Almost bought one. They seem to offer a lot of the goods the big boys do at a lower cost. I found them to be fairly warm sounding for solid state at there price points. How ever IMHO there was a bit "chalkiness" ...

What difference does the "order" make with x-overs
In very simple terms the lower the order the more the drivers share content. There are other by-products such as phase, time, signal reflection, energy storage and impedance that may be effected by cross-overs. Please keep in mind that besides "or...
B&W 804 Nautilus help
The Audiogon moderators have refused application of a new thread for reasons I am unaware of (perhaps continuity). As such, the quest goes on with the system at this time including the a fore mentioned B&W 804 Nautilus' and TacT 2.2. With this...
Two 210 x 2 amps or One 500 x 2 amp.....
The effect varies with different speakers (cross-overs with big impedance swings seem to benefit most from bi-amping). As long as the extra money usually required for cases, parts, wiring, etc. doesn't compromise total system needs. It would seem to...
Opinion sought on rogue manufacturer...Help
This an unfortunate state of affairs. The idea that the timely resolution to a piece of equipment that might hinder an entire system/investment is disregarded, is unacceptable. I will not do business with any manufacturer, dealer and or distributo...
B&W 804 Nautilus help
Thank you everyone for your thoughtful replies. Sure seems to be some very different ideas out there. It's obvious that there can be many different roads to the same destination. I will be posting a new thread with the latest development (TacT 2.2).
linelevel pre that facilitates balanced bi-amping?
Thank you everyone for your thoughtfull replies. Interestingly enough my friend previously owned a Sonic Frontiers Line 3. He sold all his equipment prior to a recent move. His requirements have made a rather radical change with the purchase of a ...
