My most remarkable service experience ever. Nonoise, I agree, it comes from the top. I'm very fortunate to have worked and retired from such a company. I'm thankful for the experience and the values I learned and adopted. It's more than just 'business'.gary

***Advice Needed***Choosing Between Mini & Midi Monitors Sorry for the late post... I hope you like your new setup.
***Advice Needed***Choosing Between Mini & Midi Monitors I enjoy my Silverline Minuets. They are the smallest speakers I've owned. Got them in a trade. To me they sound 'right' and I listen to music longer than before in my bedroom.I used them in my main setup a bit and liked them, too. I started using...
Just how much do speakers suppose to vibrate? If they sound good to you, that's all that matters. If you're curious and motivated, you've gotten some good suggestions. I've tried different tips for isolating components, some improved clarity and others sounded different- not neccessarilly bet...
Is upgrading pre worth it? I tend to recognize more of a difference in preamps than amps in my setups. More detail specifically, maybe ’air’ as some define it.I’m not doubting other’s opinions at all. But I know when I ended up with my first nice preamp, (nice to me) it cha...
3.5 to RCA Cable Awesome, I'll shop around a little and buy the Evergreen. Thanks again for your help.
3.5 to RCA Cable Mofi,Perfect, thanks very much. There is a Tower($23) and Evergreen($34) model.Do you mind looking at yours if it's accessible? I'll just copy you if it's the Evergreen. Thanks again.
Anticables speaker wire have no plastic jacket/insulation? I know my magnet wire is not exactly the same, but it does have a red, thin film covering the wires. I've read it referred to as enamel. The coating on my wire is very, very, thin- but preparing the bare ends took some elbow grease. I ended up usi...
sub with totem staff You will be fine adding a sub. It will be helpful to read up on how to integrate the sub, as there are differing wiring and calibrating methods depending on the sub and your preferences. There also are sealed and vented sub endclosures, which are ...
Anticables speaker wire have no plastic jacket/insulation? I twisted some 14ga magnet wire and use it for speaker cable, cost was $25 for around 250'. It sounds fine to me, but my system is not high end (6-7k) so it may not be a good sample. It's stiff, but in my case it's not a problem.
New Room (from House to Apt) advice wanted on minimizing complaints Fwiw, I use a Dspeaker Anti Node in my home theater. It works well removing unwanted peaks, nodes, etc. After running the correction program the sub is more controlled and appropriate, not as 'loud'. I don't enjoy hyped bass. While setting up the p...
New Room (from House to Apt) advice wanted on minimizing complaints I agree with talking to them- good advice. Same if you have someone above or below you. Also, I agree with asking if you can step in long enough to hear how loud a certain level on the volume knob is and use that as a guide. You may be good as it s...
Which integrated amp would you pick? I have the Anthem 225i. I went to it from a Sonic Frontier pre and Monarchy mono-blocks.It's a no frills unit but sounds good to me, plenty of power for anything I need to drive. I like the simplicity.
Please recommend a $1500 SS or Hybrid integrated to pair with Silverline 17.5 monitors I've used my Anthem 225 Integrated with Silverline Minuets and it sounded nice.Different speaker, but I've been happy with the Anthem across the board. Plenty of power, sounds great- not a lot of bells and whistles. |
