Best of both worlds, Vandersteen and B&W
I agree, mgreen27. Nothing I found regarding positioning was revolutionary or conflicted with the tilt instructions in the manual. However, distance to boundaries and space between speakers had a pretty big impact in my room. Good luck, gary

Hi, is keeping your Vandersteens and adding a sub an option? I've owned the 2ce sig and they didn't offend regarding bass in my room. Maybe you just need a foundation that a sub would give you. I've recently discovered my speakers that play in the...

I had an issue with a nasty noise like a 'buzz'. Ended up being my dishwasher causing issues in the circuit. I don't normally operate my dishwasher during listening, so it took awhile to show itself.Might take note of other electronics that are in...

Good for you, I bet you will really enjoy the Nad. I have a Schiit Modi Multibit ($250) and use it with my CD player and BT receiver. Of course there are several other manufacturers of quality dacs.Regards, gary

Fwiw,If you can find a local audio nut, they could help a lot. Many audio folks are friendly and helpful, after all it's their hobby and interest. You may consider looking on your local Craigslist under electronics and scan for audio gear ads that ...

Blessyou,In my set up, the speaker wire route is my only option for cutting low frequencies from my main speakers and routing them to my sub. Doing this improves the sound of my main speakers - but I assume this varies from setup to setup.Opinions...

Imhififan-Thanks for the help! I looked and they offer a 80hz version as well. I think that will get me close enough to try. If it works out, I'll be able to use my wireless sub trans/rec and have more placement flexibility. Thanks again!gary

ct0517,I had the golden flute bass filter (think that was the name) installed when I had the 801's. At the time I could not give them the power they deserved probably.I sold them locally and the guy still has them last I knew. Gary

Slaw, My room is 14x18, with the 18' area opening into a foyer/dining room about 14' deep. The room has carpet, heavy drapes, etc. Aside from the opening to the rear, it is open to the kitchen adjacent to the left speaker. I have no specific room t...

Slaw,My integrated doesn't have a pre out and amp in. Only pre out. I'm thinking I can use the RCA inputs on the sub if I place the sub between the preamp and amp. With my current setup I don't know another way to cut the low frequencies from my ma...
