Tyler Taylo Reference Monitor Filter Switch
Hi Megasam. I recently acquired a pair of these fine monitors here on A'gon used with the toggle switch. I was told by the previous owner that they provide a small 3dB bump in the midrange. I actually prefer the switch down (no boost), the present...
Your ''best kept secret'' speaker choice ?
DeVore Fidelity - a small company based I think in New York. They have a small monitor called the Gibbon 3 and a floorstander, the Gibbon 8. I don't own these but heard the monitors recently and they are fantastic. Tiny speakers that throw a huge ...
Brahm's g- minor piano quartet
Check out Domus' recordings of the Brahms piano quartets. Domus was an English group which has since "regrouped" as a piano trio. Their recordings of the Schubert trios (on Hyperion) are also incredible, both performance and recording wise.
A newbie with a speaker cable AWG question.

A newbie with a speaker cable AWG question.

Tweeter hiss?
Thanks again for all the responses. I feel better knowing that it's probably normal behavior for the amp. My main concern was that I was doing some damage to the speakers (which I had just bought). The amp is definitely at the top of my upgrade li...
Tweeter hiss?
Thanks Jsawhitlock. My gut feeling is that it's an amp issue and not a speaker issue. Unfortunately I don't have any other speakers or amps to test my hunch. Seperates are out of my budget right now so I'm leaning toward getting a better integrate...
Tweeter hiss?
Thanks for the responses.I don't think it's an electrical problem. I tried plugging into different outlets, same results. Also whether the CD player (also Rotel) was on or not (and disconnected) had no effect. As for the cables, they are in close ...
