ar turntable resurrection advice
Tim, if you don't mind I'd like to open this up a bit. I actually own the exact same table and arm. Have been using it for over 14 years with a high output VDH MC cartridge. It's a good table, but does have a couple of weaknesses. It's a little so...
Anybody tried 20th Anniversary Purist cables?
Thanks guys. You both have been a great help. Like all cable matching issues it sounds like there's no free lunch here. A careful selection of cables is needed even in the highest echelon of IC products.
Anybody tried 20th Anniversary Purist cables?
Cmo and Tvad, since you both have had a chance to hear the 20th Anniversary Aqueous and the Venustas, I'd like to get your thoughts on which has better high frequency extension. Not "pushed" mind you, but open, clear, still musical. If there's one ...

"I just had a pair of the Purist Annivesary (Aqueous?) IC's in my sytem and didn't like them very well"Chris, I am very interested in this. Between which components did you use the Aqueous? Are your comments in direct comparison to the Venustas in...
I need an IC with excellent noise rejection
Wrayray, can you provide some commentary on your experience with these Discovery Cables?
Benefit of Tri or Quad Wire compared to Bi wire
A friend of mine has speakers that are capable of being tri-wired. For years he had them bi-wired, and then when he had an opportunity he began testing tri'd configurations. He hit on one that works a lot better in his system than his bi-wired arr...
Good amplifer match for Pass X1?
Um, comments like that don't add much to a thread, as I'm sure you already know. Do you have some reason that you could make clear for this opinion?
Good amplifer match for Pass X1?
...anybody?
XLR to RCA conversion for sub
Hmm, I read this and was curious. Please confirm, but in a case like this you don't get the benefit of a balanced IC since there is no balanced circuit on the receiving end, yes? It's essentially an RCA IC with an odd connector on one end.
Good amplifer match for Pass X1?
Bumping it up the line.
Long RCA ICs - which ones fit this bill?
Tom, how would you describe the sound of the Signal Cable at this length?
Long RCA ICs - which ones fit this bill?
Ggil, do you have a link? When I do a search for Placette I only get the company that does passives and volume controls.
Long RCA ICs - which ones fit this bill?
Thanks to you both. I'll look at that other thread, John. One thing I do not want to do is get something that is either fatiguing or intoduces its own personality. I know that a very tough call for a long IC, but I'll have to look.
Long RCA ICs - which ones fit this bill?
At that time how would have compared the 330 to the Straightwire?

Nsgarch, your old Maestros were 8m long? How would you cahracterize their sound? What equipment did you use them with?
