Left and right subwoofers with integrated
@noble100 Tim,As below, I have been assured that the low pass filter will always be functional regardless of which way I go."On our subwoofers, running the RCA into the LFE port doesn't disable the ability to use the Low Pass Filtering Functional...
Left and right subwoofers with integrated
@noble100  Tim. That would be my preference, but I was trying to avoid running dual cables between the two subs. I have talked to SVS, who were very helpful by the way, and I think I will be just running a single cable to the right/LFE line input ...
Left and right subwoofers with integrated
@noble100  Tim, Thanks for your input and suggestions. I believe option 1 will be the preferred option as well. So, if I am understanding option 1 correctly, I would run a cable from the left pre out to the "left" sub and then use a "Y adapter" to ...
Left and right subwoofers with integrated
@erikt  No you aren't missing anything. Just semantics. When I said "single pre out" I meant a single left/right output.@noble100  Tim. My speakers are Vienna Acoustics Mozart Grand SE's and their rated response is 30Hz – 22kHz. The SVS sub low pa...

@millercarbon Thanks for the quick and clear response. My life is suddenly easier, which is a very rare occurrence these days.
Does the first reflection point actually matter??
Personally I never quite understood the idea of the "first reflection point", but simply deferred to popular opinion. If speakers generate sound in a cone-shaped pattern in both horizontal and vertical planes, then why is the first reflection on t...
High Performance Audio - The End?
It's an interesting point, but all it will take is a new form of digital recording and playback and then it's back to square one.A scary proposition.
Tin Foil Hat Audio
Not to be pedantic, but "tin foil" has not existed for perhaps 80 years. Today, we use the much more progressive "aluminum foil hat". Shiny side in always.

Jazz vocalists which may not be as real as we think/imagine
Wow. Now we have not only "fake news", but "fake singers".My suggestion would be to listen to Diana Krall's "Live in Paris" and perhaps entertain the notion that you are completely out to lunch on this.
Who knows how to set up a bass swarm? (DBA)

is this the greatest live band of all time?
The gold standard is Bruce Springsteen at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver back in 1978. 3+ hours of perfection. In the mix:Elton John (in the 1970's)ToolRory GallagherTim BuckleyPink FloydAny opera at the Met
Should people who can't solder, build or test their speakers be considered audiophiles?
So, in your world we should become a prideful, elitist group of snobs that looks down on the world from on high? The "worthy" and the "rabble"?In my world, an audiophile is anyone that cares deeply about music and regardless of what he can afford,...
Sexy singer(s) and/or song(s)

Should people with no turntable or reel to reel be considered audiophiles?
Considering what is happening in the world at this moment, shouldn't we trying to include people and not divide? Leave that up to Donald. Besides, it is the pursuit of audio enlightenment that we seek. The path we take is irrelevant.
