The extinction of human interaction takes yet another step forward...
@soix     Excuse me for perhaps being 90% negative with that comment, but it was more for effect that a literal statement.    My meaning was more that when something is lost, whether it is something trivial like cursive writing or something seriou...

@millercarbon     "Ahh yes, the old we are still running around in bear skins living in caves story. Just exactly how far gone do you have to be to believe this while using your keyboard to put this on the internet?"    My apologies I didn't think...

"I have purchased SOTA swiss front end which I can't disclose"    Congratulations. That is the silliest statement I have ever read on this site.

I know what you mean and although I don't want to be 100% negative, when was the last time anything in this world changed for the better?    Remember when couples would go out to their favourite restaurant to have a nice meal, a glass or two of wi...
Stereo Preamp suggestion

@stuartk     I don't know if one would consider it a "component", but a distributed bass array or "swarm" will solve 90+% your bass issues without requiring any bass traps or room treatment.
why do so many discussions turn contentious?
Unfortunately we now live a time of intolerance and aggression. The anonymity of sites like Twitter and Reddit has emboldened the insecure and hateful cowards of the world. The bullied exact revenge on the world by bullying others. A truly sad stat...
Is bass the most important frequency band?
@dabel    I now have 5 subwoofers in my space. Four for the swarm (distributed bass array) and one for the HT. This sounds counterintuitive, but the results speak for themselves. The swarm is controlled with an inexpensive MiniDsp 2x4, which sets ...
Is bass the most important frequency band?
I would agree 100% with the @mkgus.    Until I resolved the bass I was never satisfied and suffered greatly from listening fatigue.    The addition of a distributed bass array was life changing. Bass is now "real". It's not bloated or uneven and i...
Poor Customer Service
As a retired salesman, I cannot overstate the benefits of providing exemplary service to your customers. Good service with help your business grow, while poor service will slowly erode consumer confidence and eventually result in a loss of market ...
If I could afford, I’d purchase 100% Oswald Mills Audio gear
"All that glitters is not gold"    No, the glittery stuff are diamonds. Gold is the shiny yellow stuff.
The "Snake Oil" Trope
Guakus = Mortimer Snerd     Any guesses as to the identity of Edgar Bergen.
My Experience With Tekton
"Wow this is more entertaining than Looney Tunes on Saturday morning as a 5 year old..."    Any one want to guess who plays Foghorn Leghorn?
What is wrong with my system?
There is a simple solution.    Just wait until you are in your late 60's and you won't be able to hear anything above 12khz anyway.    Problem solved.
