The Rapid Rise (& Fall) of the CD @nonoise Your posts weren't taken as an attack. Considering that there will be many more "Isn't streaming great" posts, I was just offering a suggestion for dealing with them. Enough said. Enjoy your music! In whatever format you choose!
The Rapid Rise (& Fall) of the CD @nonoise When you run across those annoying, "you’ve got to stream" posts, stop reading and post about the benefits of how you prefer to listen to music.
The Rapid Rise (& Fall) of the CD @nonoise Nobody wants to make you stream. Some people really like being able to find new (to them) music through streaming and are free to express that like on this forum. There are probably more threads with differences of opinion on Audiogon...
No More Fake Reviews - So Who’s Gonna Tell Us What To Buy? The rules sound reasonable and could cause problems for reviewers who get free gear or music in return for a good review. We'll just have to see how it plays out in the audiophile world.
I Sold my CD Player!!! Streaming sounds so incredible!!! My mistake. I thought you said you owned all the music you needed. You can find new music on those sources, but if you give it a try, I think you’ll find that streaming is a much better way to find and listen to new music. To each his own, though.
I Sold my CD Player!!! Streaming sounds so incredible!!! That’s plenty of music, especially since the music I’ve collected I really want to listen to over and over again. Streaming? Why? Nothing wrong with sticking with what you’ve got. I’m not saying you’re doing anything wrong, but there are tons o...
Are all streamers the same? One of the guiding principles of audio (not laid down by me) is that it is subjective. You must determine what gear is right for you by listening to it. Books, measurements reviews, opinions, etc. cannot tell you what is right for you.
Primaluna tube rolling 12AU7 Notes I post this link pretty frequently, but if you want to know where and when your Phillips tubes were made and what tube type you have, you should learn a little about the manufacturing codes. They are etched into the glass on the side of the tube, ...
dCS Bartok Apex vs McIntosh DA2 - Trouble Hearing the Difference It could be that your McIntosh integrated is applying the McIntosh house sound to the Bartok. I'd discuss that with the dealer. There could be many other reasons why the Bartok doesn't sound better, but as long as it doesn't, there's no reason t...
Audio Cables: All the Same? Good idea sstraus, why don’t you do that and let us know what you find.
MoFi v/s UHQR The reputation of the MFSL LPs took a big hit when it was discovered that they were making a digital copy of the tapes they weren’t allowed to remove from the record company’s vaults, which is about all of them now. MFSL says that making a digita...
New Esoteric K-03XD Hi stevizzy, Are you referring to the upsampling and filter settings? I have read on forums that it takes a couple hundred hours to burn in each setting. So, if you like it now, it should get better.
MoFi Bridge Over Troubled Water - Review Thanks for the review. I'll be getting this at some point in the future. I hope it isn't another 5 years or so before MoFi gets around to doing the next S&G album.
Is There Some Problem With Shunyata's Everest Power Conditioner This seems like something that one should demo if at all possible. Would you say that your Denali was worth the cost? Hi moto_man, Definitely demo it if you can. Like most things the effect will vary from system to system as fastfreight discove...
Is There Some Problem With Shunyata's Everest Power Conditioner I don't have one but I have had a Denali for a few years and it cleaned up the sound noticeably but not to jaw dropping level. They are a very simple device. I don't know how they work, but if you're looking for something that runs the electrici... |
