Mechanical Hum from Class A Amplifier Clayton With speakers as sensitive as yours, a bit of noise shouldn't concern you too much. The difference in the heat output is a concern and should be looked at. Probably just a bias setting out of adjustment, but worth having it looked at. | |

Recommend a used vintage receiver for under $100? I gave my grandson one of those Dayton amps listed above. For the money it is a very nice little amp. If you don't need a lot of inputs or features it might be the way to go. | |
