How weird is our world?
I would go with, what I think most would agree, that the arrow is indicative of the signal or current flow. If the manufacturer places an arrow on the product, that would indicate to me that the intention is for direction of signal or current. But...

SACD player that will read the SACD layer
I would think the cleaning disc would work, can't hurt to try. As far a new player what is your budget?
SACD player that will read the SACD layer
Depending on your specific player, but some players have a setting that will allow you to set the default. You might want to check that, if not have you tried a lens cleaner?Since the SACD requires a finer laser it may have some dust and the playe...

Another consideration is the Rega Apollo-R. And you can always add a DAC. Just a thought.
Revel Tweeter - Is Dimpling Cosmetic or Functional
I own a C32 from new and no dimple(s). I would replace it if you can still obtain one from Revel.
Worth rebuilding Linn troika or fix shelter 501II?
I owned a Troika for a few years and it was a perfect companion to my LP12. If it were me I would look into getting the Troika rebuilt. Check with your local Linn dealer to see who Linn recommends for gas process. Or if you don't have a Linn deale...

Name The Intro
That was fun, I missed a few as well. It reminds me of Denver's 95KIMN radio back in the 60's having these contests and I loved to play. But being a long distance phone call, I was parentially guided to NOT to make those calls. This also brings to...

Receiver HDMI problem
As Cerrot says the handshake is vital. Also make sure all your resolution settings are the same on each component in the signal chain. Whether it be 720p or 1080p, everything needs to be the same to help in that "handshake" with HDMI. In my experi...
Should i have my Harmon Kardon repaired or replace
I would replace it, if your brother gave it to you, at this point it owes you nothing. As old as it is, chances are repairing it, may only obligate you to invest more if it breaks again. Especially if you're only use is the phono stage, depending ...
