Best Amp For Infinity Kappa 8.1 Speakers As longtime owner of Kappa sevens I recently purchased a McIntosh MC352 and these speakers came alive. Kappas love power! Look at Bryston, McCormack, Sherbourne in the 300 @ 8 ohm range or don't waste your time the Kappas need the power to fully r...

Rega P25 Tonearm Lift My suggestion is that if you have a heigth problem with your lift then you also have a (vertical tracking alignment)VTA issue that needs resolved.Contact Amusicdirect.com and buy the EASYRIZER for the rega and install it then set your VTA and you ...
Which From my recent conversion to the Golden Reference, I can strongly suggest the GR's over the Nuetral ref's. I did an A/B in home comparision and thought the NR's were very accurate and precise, the GR's were all that and added a much better sound s...
My VPI junior doesn't have aground lead If your not experienceing and RF hum don't worry. If you are then try finding a chassis ground that will minimize the hum.
Why would my CD player start skipping? Try taking a can of compressed air and dusting of the lensit just may be dirty
Turntable Set Up Questions again? Here is my opinion based on years of experience with vinyl, in response to your questions1. I say stay with the maximum tracking force and do not exceed it at all. the designer of that cartridge is telling you that the 1.5g is where the sensativit...

Diana Krall I seriously doubt that the record company would have re-released a bad recording in SACD format if the master didn't justify the expense or the perceived sales didn't excist.
What's the best isolation system? I have tried several things from Iso-Bearings to Vibropods and have had the best results with AQ Sobethane Feet under my turntable. On my CD players I use the Paulsen Platters which are no longer made bu are in breif a platter riding on apposing m...
How much fluid do you use I agree with you on the vinyl, much better!. I too have a P25 and the VPI 16.5. I recently sold my nitty gritty and I can confirm you made the right decision on the VPI. I use enough fluid to cover about a 1 1/2 inch wide "puddle" fromedge of the ...
Cardas Machined RCA Caps.??? I started with these when I was experiencing a problem with my phone pre amp. They may have cut down on the RF noise but I won't swear to it. I will say that the other two benefits are (one) no dust can get in the jack and (two) they look so cool!...
Which upgrade should be my priority? Personnaly I give natalie my vote. The other tweaks are a waste of money if the signal isn't there to begin with. You are obviously looking at the right web-site to do just that.Find a good pre-amp and amp and build from there then any tweaks will ...
Remote Control Problems :- One suggestion is check for "reflective surfaces" sometimes an "IR" signal will duplicate due to reflection and cause a cancelling of the signal, thus as if no signal was transmitted.
Suggestion for bedroom speakers I don't think you can find a better stand mounted speaker thatn that Linn Katan. They deliver good full bass and a sweet high with exceptional mid's. They are worth every penny, but only if you invest in a good stand. Placement is not crucial either. |
