Clement Perry's new reference speaker
Mrstark, I agree that this is a silly forum. Some people had strongly recommended the Emerald Physics speakers to me so I sought them out at CES. Frankly, they were quite disappointing. I heard no speaker at CES or THE Show that approached the Ref...
More shipping damage again?
I have had more problems with claims with UPS and once took them to small claims court, where I found businesses are always right. My FedEx claims have always been handled by someone at their telephone number, but a third party inspector came out ...
More shipping damage again?
I have had the best and cheapest results with FedEx Ground. This doesn't mean they are infallible, however. Also, for lighter items, I have had great luck with the USPS.
Spikes and hardwood floors.....what to do?
When I had spikes under my speakers, I found the IsoClean larger pucks for hard wood floors sounded best. Previously I used nickels. I once had such heavy speakers that I needed to put two nickels under each spike.
Power Conditioning, Torus, Audience or David Gray?
As I have so often said, whatever you find most satisfying after you have listened to it for some time, remove it an listen. I have mostly found that I prefer nothing. The Acoustic Revive RTP-6 is the most recent counter experience.Mainly, I find ...
The best speaker you ever heard?
Detlof, don't you have the Excalibers by Acapella?
vibration isolation bearings
David12, did you have the original Aurios. I did not like later versions.
vibration isolation bearings
A friend of mine developed the small cups imbedded in the wood platforms. He gave the rights to FIM as their costs from Asia were so much lower. I have several of his platforms. I found the first Aurios were the best of the Aurios and were superio...
Stealth Dream AC powerchord
Guys, last evening I painted the carbon fiber plugs at both ends of one Stealth Dream Preamp power cord with the AVM paint. You can learn about the AVM at http://www.universalkaraoke.com/ Again all that I painted was the outsides of one Stealth. W...
Isoclean fuses: definitely worth it
Willster, I don't see this thread as you do. There will always be people who do not hear the benefits of better fuses or off the direction of the fuse. There will also be differences of opinion about the best fuses. That is part of the hobby. I th...
Stealth Dream AC powerchord
Alexsee, sounds like a fun but exhausting experiment. I have tried most of these and some others typically compared on one component, an easy one, the cd players or amp. I can make decisions for me but that is about it.
Isoclean fuses: definitely worth it
inpep, so your first statement was not sufficiently qualified.Certainly you would not jump to the conclusion that since you can hear no differences with fuses that no one can actually hear differences. I know the lame argument that they are subjec...
Isoclean fuses: definitely worth it
Inpepinnovations, why do you persist in this nonsense? Once you have heard the impact of a better fuse or of the direction differences among fuses, then put yourself to work finding a test that would remove your doubts. By the way light objects an...
Gabriel Gold IC's are they really this good?
Guys, I just was alerted to this thread. I have not heard the Gabriel Golds but one comment by Jmcgrogan2 caught my attention. He said there was agreement about how good gold ics were. I use both Jade Hybrids and Vermeils. Once when I was in Minn....
Stealth Dream AC powerchord
Jagdynamics, I continue to share your opinions on the Stealth Dreams. I use them throughout my system. I have found a plug in box that you have to try. It is the Acoustic Revive RTP-6 Ultimate. It is a very major improvement over just Stealth Dreams.
