I REALLY want a AD Ultrasonic machine....Just waiting for a pissed off wife/divorce listing for $500. Good thing I'm not holding my breath..I've been saying I'm going to get a proper RCM for the past 10 years.Meanwhile, I recently purchased a new ...
Tubes and Tekton's
Does Tekton ship the DI's with a warning label? The type of music with...certain speakers is silly.
Any More Hotels with Turntables?
Hmm...I guess I would go to one of these places to play "vinyl" and just stay home to play records. Oh brother....more millennial marketing.Wonder if you can request a mono press, while calling room service for a steak dinner?
Speaker Placement Priority - wall clearance or perfect equilateral
marktomaras-you have great equipment, but like most of us stuck with "real world" living constraints, trial/error with compromise is reality.Im fortunate having a room allowing Cardas setup.http://www.cardas.com/speaker_placement.phpYour level spe...
Are You Experienced?
Just like the Beatles mono presses, I didn’t "need" them, but really MUST HAVE this!I guess I can reason, I don't have a British press?
Cartridges: Complete Scam?
madavid0- the easiest way to enjoy turntable madness is to simply allow YOUR OWN EARS to dictate where your wallet follows. You are  clearly not going to join the ranks of owners of $10K+users, and perhaps your system doesn't justify such extravaga...

"Actually, I am back to the 600rpm. the 300 is just does not sound right on the scout."tzh21y-I've been following this thread. So did going back to the 600RPM motor eliminate the problem? I personally questioned it being suspect, but audio proble...
Where should the better of two sets of cables go?
The "best sound" is obtained by YOU trying them in both spots and letting your ears do the judging. Very simple. No one here can help with that.
Beatles on PBS!
I saw  the premiere last year. Thought it was great. Now I've  caught it a few times on rotation, while channel surfing. Even better, since i've been able to catch details I missed the first time around. The picture quality of some scenes is amazin...
SoCal FM radio casualty
bdp24-Yeah, by 80's the Foothill was just a shell of what it was. I think I saw Screaming Jay Hawkins and the Blasters there.I enjoy reading about your past  R&R exploits. Did you ever play at the Golden Bear in Huntington Beach?

oregonpapa-I did not have the good fortune of catching a gig at the Lighthouse during the Jazz heyday.I do however, have a Contemporary label press of "Sunday Jazz  A La Lighthouse"It was recorded sometime late 50's,early 60's. Great music.I was s...
SoCal FM radio casualty
oregonpapa-the station was located on top of  Signal Hill, a small incorporated area in the middle of Long  Beach. I ride my bike up that hill regularly. The area is now over priced homes, and a plaque reminding  people what used to be there. Down...
Focal Kanta No.2 speakers - any thoughts? Also in comparison with Sonus Faber Olympica 3s?
rsure-any room short of a "listening room" is always a compromise, especially in a living space. We have significant others we answer to,and other "real" factors.I use the Cardas placement, with great results.http://www.cardas.com/room_setup_calcula...
Focal Kanta No.2 speakers - any thoughts? Also in comparison with Sonus Faber Olympica 3s?
rsure-This looks like a deal worth checking out.https://www.audiogon.com/listings/full-range-focal-sopra-n2-2017-11-20-speakerBased on value- maybe a better deal than the SF's you're considering. Technically, a step  above the Kanta, subjectively ...
