Best High Current amplifiers stable into low impedances @audiojan ”Gryphon Diablo 300. 950W/channel into 2ohm!!!!” And a lot of current; 238 ampere !!! according to measurements in a Swedish HiFi-mag.
High Current Integrated Options for Manger Speakers The Gryphon Diablo 300 is a VERY HIGH current integrated. 238A!
After years of separates, I'm going integrated. Anyone else do the same? @audiofound I have heard both the int250 and Diablo 300 but not in the same system. What would you say is the sonic difference?
Current Pass integrateds? I compared an int250 against Accuphase E800 and Boulder 866 at a dealer. I preferred the Pass.
Gryphon Essence Stereo vs Pass Labs XA series For low sensitivity speakers the Diablo 300 is probably a better match while the Essence is the better amp with more efficient speakers. @koslekt1 Interesting to hear that you preferred the Diablo 300 over the XA160.8’s.
gryphon amps Dutch?! No, Gryphon is Danish!
Pass Labs XA30.8 @cwlondon @bobheinatz Some people like the .5’s better, I for one care less for them.
Gryphon Diablo vs. McIntosh C2700/MC611 Has anyone compared the Diablo300 to Pass? (Like 250int or XP22/X350.8)
Integrated amp to go with Magnepan 3.7i D’Agostino Progression integrated is a great match with 3.7’s. I would also consider Gryphon Diablo 300 and Pass Int 250.
D'Agostino Progression Integrated Amp @bruce_1 Have you by chance compared the Progression Int to the Pass point 8 series like the Int250 or separates like XP22/X350.8?….or the Gryphon Diablo 300? I have heard that the Prog Int is a very good match with Magnepans.
After years of separates, I'm going integrated. Anyone else do the same? Anyone compared D’Agostino Progression Integrated or Gryphon Diablo 300 to Pass Labs separates (XP22/X260.8)?
Boulder 866 experience? Users? I compared the Boulder 866 against a Pass Int250. The 866 was perhaps more neutral but sounded a bit restrained compared to the int250 which sounded more powerful and fleshed out.
Luxman m-900u owners - quick question @smodtactical I am also interested to hear how Pass compares to Luxman. Based on what I’ve heard/read the 900u is not a punchy amp. The 350.8 seems to be fuller sounding with more bass. They are identitically priced here in Sweden.
High End Intergraded comparisons, Marantz, McIntosh, Levinson, Luxman.... I have compared three great integrated amps; Accuphase E800, Boulder 866 and Pass Labs int250. The Pass sounded best to me. Two more I would add: Gryphon Diablo 300 and D’Agostino Progression int.
Integrated Amplifiers - Luxman vs Pass Labs @ddafoe I agree, the Pass int 250 was clearly warmer with a fuller more meaty presentation and had a more powerful bass.compared to Boulder 866 and Accuphase E800. Describtions like lean, thin, sterile, scratchy, etc makes me wonder?! |
