gryphon amps Dutch?! No, Gryphon is Danish!
Pass Labs XA30.8 @cwlondon @bobheinatz Some people like the .5’s better, I for one care less for them.
Gryphon Diablo vs. McIntosh C2700/MC611 Has anyone compared the Diablo300 to Pass? (Like 250int or XP22/X350.8)
Integrated amp to go with Magnepan 3.7i D’Agostino Progression integrated is a great match with 3.7’s. I would also consider Gryphon Diablo 300 and Pass Int 250.
D'Agostino Progression Integrated Amp @bruce_1 Have you by chance compared the Progression Int to the Pass point 8 series like the Int250 or separates like XP22/X350.8?….or the Gryphon Diablo 300? I have heard that the Prog Int is a very good match with Magnepans.
After years of separates, I'm going integrated. Anyone else do the same? Anyone compared D’Agostino Progression Integrated or Gryphon Diablo 300 to Pass Labs separates (XP22/X260.8)?
Boulder 866 experience? Users? I compared the Boulder 866 against a Pass Int250. The 866 was perhaps more neutral but sounded a bit restrained compared to the int250 which sounded more powerful and fleshed out.
Luxman m-900u owners - quick question @smodtactical I am also interested to hear how Pass compares to Luxman. Based on what I’ve heard/read the 900u is not a punchy amp. The 350.8 seems to be fuller sounding with more bass. They are identitically priced here in Sweden.
High End Intergraded comparisons, Marantz, McIntosh, Levinson, Luxman.... I have compared three great integrated amps; Accuphase E800, Boulder 866 and Pass Labs int250. The Pass sounded best to me. Two more I would add: Gryphon Diablo 300 and D’Agostino Progression int.
Integrated Amplifiers - Luxman vs Pass Labs @ddafoe I agree, the Pass int 250 was clearly warmer with a fuller more meaty presentation and had a more powerful bass.compared to Boulder 866 and Accuphase E800. Describtions like lean, thin, sterile, scratchy, etc makes me wonder?!
Integrated Amplifiers - Luxman vs Pass Labs @ghdprentice I compared an int250 against a Boulder 866 and an Accuphase E800 on Diptyque DP140 magnetostatic planar speakers. The Pass amp was fuller sounding than the other two. Definitely not thin and edgy!
Integrated Amplifiers - Luxman vs Pass Labs The Pass .8 series is anything but lean sounding.
Class A: Accuphase vs Pass Labs house sound? I have compared the E800 against the Pass int250. (never left class A during the audition) I thought the Pass sounded a bit more open with a more powerful bass compared to the more laid back and darker sounding Accuphase. Build wise they are ...
Integrated Amplifiers - Luxman vs Pass Labs @ddafoe So the Bryston 4B3 was leaner than the Pass X250.8? Is the bass more controlled in the 4B3 or is the X250.8 just fuller? I’m looking for an amp for my Magnepans which needs an amp with meat on the bones. Pass or Bryston?…….
Accuphase vs Esoteric Maybe you also should consider a Diablo. A review from a Swedish HiFi mag SENSUAL RAW STRENGTH "Connecting this threatening beast to the setup turned out to be a completely dizzying experience. Even though I had the integrated sledgehammer Esot... |
