Using a 220v piece in the US
I would recommend checking with the manufacturer (duh!!). I just checked on a piece and it was only $50 to have it converted. All problems solved and no doubts.

Because they are crooks.
What's wrong with tailoring the sound?
Say811- No beating is in order. Most folks feel like there are two issues at play here. One is that tone controls in the circuit will degrade the sound, even if set to "0". thats why some gear has a defeat switch to take the tone controls out of t...

Audiophile Changer: Cool or Hopeless Compromise?
I have been very happy with my CAL CL-10 as a one box changer and am now looking at DACs as part of an overall upgrade which is nearing an end. There is reasonable availability on the used market both here an on ebay. Should run you about $6-800. ...
Feedback system flawed?
One way to get a handle on the validity of the feedback is to check the feedback on those who have left feedback. And also check if the same people show up as the only ones leaving feedback for each other. I would also recommend a phone contact fo...
The most important piece in a stereo system???
Actually, I think speakers are least important (after cabling), especially if you look for something that is musical and does not have any really obvious failings (boomy bass, harshness in top end, etc.) I would say source and pre-amp are most imp...
