84k speakers... Big disappointment
rsf507: +1 got that right!sejodiren: I totally agree! I listened to a pair of Grand Utopias back in the late 90s while living in Montreal and, they were ok, but in no way worth the $70K+ price. Same for the big Wilsons.
No one actually knows how to lculate what speaker cable they need
"I’ll do say, that there is a no much sense in matching a Thiel CS2.4 to a Manley NEO 250!  https://www.stereophile.com/content/thiel-cs24-loudspeaker-measurementshttps://www.manley.com/hifi/n250/That is a 4 ohms speaker and goes down to 2.73 ohm...
Cartridge for Symphonic music .
+1 on Nagaoka for complex classical music (or any complex, densely modulated music for that matter).
Do speaker cables need a burn in period?
Ah, again, the process of belief trumps all, always, every time and then some.Keep believing the nonsense and you will hear whatever you want to hear. But, it's not science. Never was and never will be.
NAD D3045 with OM5E cartridge - compatible/good match?
Hmm. Something's not right if it requires you to play back this cart at high volume settings. The cartridge has a 4 mV output, which is healthy, and the phono input has a stated sensitivity of 1.15 mV, which is somewhat on the low side, unless that...

Does the Quality of the USB cable matter?
Remember, a high quality 1 or 0 sounds much better than a cheap 1 or 0.

I'm still waiting for my "solution" to my amps and speakers from back in September. Nothing forthcoming. SHAM CITY.
Do speaker cables need a burn in period?
And, what the heck do FUSES have to do with SPEAKER CABLES anyway? The direction the wire was pulled? In any of these studies was the resistance correlated with direction of wire pull? I thought so.
Do speaker cables need a burn in period?
None of those numbers in that first set of data for FUSE direction 1 vs. 2 are qualifed as statistically significant. We’re talking differences in microOhm and there should be at least three measurements per trial so that a standard deviation is c...

Do speaker cables need a burn in period?
I disagree. It’s the right question because electricity is not mumbo jumbo and there must be a physical characteristic that accounts for it. By avoiding the question and calling it wrong (there are no wrong questions, only wrong answers!) you admi...
Do speaker cables need a burn in period?
So Geoff, what exactly is the physical characteristic that is granted to wire due to being pulled through a die that accounts for electrical directionality?
Best turntable under $2000
neo: It's best if you learn how to install, align and adjust your own cartridges. I would never trust mine to anyone else.

The focus on damping factor as the holy grail of speaker cabling is total nonsense.Boring.
