Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters Ruins the Song ‘Money’! @chrisoshea, I have been in many liquor stores over the years and never, not even once have I heard any Pink Floyd playing. Please direct me to that liquor store, I would like to hear for myself.
Any High End Tube Preamps with *gasp tone controls? All McIntosh preamps and integrated amps come with tone controls. I find them a must for mysel as my hearing is deteriorating, the tone controls make the sound more enjoyable to me.
New Improved Fink Team Borg Episode 2 Speakers : End-Game Speakers ? @whipsaw, not writing it off as I was never interested in them. I have my end game speakers already. Who wants a pair of caskets in their living room? Why don’t you purchase them and let us know how good they are or aren’t?
Speaker that are 'KEEPERS" for the long haul!!! I have had my GE Triton Reference speakers for 6+ years and love them more and more every single day. These were/are my end game speakers.
Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters Ruins the Song ‘Money’! @thecarpathian, Thank you, you saved me the trouble of looking it up. Waters was famous for claiming the whole song as his. There are many instances in the various books on Pink Floyd. I have read every single one. Did you know the very short...
mc2100 Look on flea bay or call McIntosh direct, you never know.
When will McIntosh update the C2700 with the C2800? You can call Audio Classics and ask them. They get the scoop before any of the other dealers as they are less than 2 miles from the factory. Ask for Mike Sastra, he will set you straight. I have the C2500 and wouldn’t trade it for anything else a...
Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters Ruins the Song ‘Money’! As a lifelong PF fan since 1965, Waters is a narcissist. He single handily ruined one of the best groups to come out of the 60’s through early 80’s. He talked Gilmour and Mason into firing Rick Wright during The Wall recordings because he didn’...
seeking advise please on my short list for new speakers? (15k budget) Have you looked at Legacy Audio? If not, you should.
Am I broken? Am I stuck? Do I have to return my audiophile card now? Like others said, try them in your home and if you like them, trade in your present speakers. They may or may not sound as good as what you heard at the dealers. Your room has a lot to do with the sound.
Klipsch Cornwalls vs. JBL L110 speakers with McIntosh MC2205 @musicearlyadopter , JBL most certainly still makes the L100 speakers, they are called the L100 Classic speakers. It has the 12 inch white pure pulp woofer, a 5 inch midrangerange and a titanium tweeter with a built in wave guide. Mine look fantas...
Whats playing on your system today? Nick Mason, Live At The Roundhouse
Odyssey Audio Kismet Mono Blocks I had a Stratos Extreme amp for at least 6 years or so. The Kismet is the next step up from the Extremes. My Extreme had the black Kismet boards in it and I loved the amp. Great midrange, amazing bass, and the treble had detail yet was never ever...
Perreaux R200i owners Check the batteries they may have enough juice to light the buttons but not enough to send the signal. A multimeter can check the voltage. If in doubt, put in new batteries and try it.
Gaia versus Mapleshades I used brass cones 6mm thread with “t” nuts on my former Odyssey Kismet Floorstanding reference speakers and used them with the protection cups sitting on a slab of polished black granite. I had no concerns about the sound. I replaced the speak... |
