I knew I shouldn’t have thrown my Electrical Engineering text book in the campus pond!
Does the picture on your large flat screen TV look worse because it has a cheap switching power supply? Of course not! SWPS's were perfected years ago! Only the neurotically obsessed claim that a linear PS is somehow sonically "better"! Don't fall...
LSA 20 Statement Speakers
@mijostyn —the LSA 20s are nicely made and that is about it. The engineering is very basic. Even you could probably master it. They are nothing special. This design has been drilled into the ground. Really? And what design is that? Dynamic drivers...
So how much do you think the placebo effect impacts our listening preferences?
People who really care about sound — whatever that % is — won’t fall for the placebo effect because they use their ears to judge sound, not their eyes. As for the rest, it’s the same as everything else — a fool and his money...I’ve got around 7/8 ...

Few thoughts...Everything matters (especially power supplies), and many who’ve upgraded their LPS have experienced significant improvements — go for itThe Perspective 2s will change your audio life — excellent choiceDon’t litterBest of luck.
Headphone amp on Pre-Amp with no available Tape Loop
Problem solved!
I love my Hales T5’s but what about Magico A3 or Vandersteen?
+1 Joseph Audio.  There’s some magic in that infinite slope crossover that I believe will yield something more than your excellent Hales can achieve.  Best of luck.
Using Smart Plugs to Turn on Subwoofers
Just leave them powered on 24/7.  They probably burn very little electricity as they use Class A/B amps, and constantly turning electronic components on and off isn’t great either.  Sometimes the simplest solution is best.  FWIW.
Power cord choice?
Better to just buy a few with a return policy, and you're just out shipping.Big +1.  I’d recommend trying Triode Wire Labs, Underwood/Core Power, Audio Envy, Cullen, Raven, and the Zavfino mentioned above by @lalitk also looks very intriguing.  Be...
LSA 20 Statement Speakers
I owned LSA 10 Statements a number of years agoThe newer Underwood LSA speakers haven’t been out that long.  Maybe you’re thinking of the older LSA1?They are just another dynamic floor stander. Nothing special. If you want special get Sound Labs ...
Inexpensive, neutral-to-warm sounding SS headphone amp?
Gustard H16 is worth a look if you can stretch a bit, or even better a used Singxer SA-1 will give you that warm Class A amp goodness.  Best of luck.
DAC better than Denafrips Pontus II
The Pontus ll was high on my list too, but just read a review of the Musician Aquarius on Soundnews.net that has me rethinking things as he’s also familiar with Denafrips DACs.
Sound variation from good to incredible?
I’d definitely try a power conditioner.  Core Power, Audience, Synergistic among others are all good.

What sound characteristics are most important to you, and what improvements would you like to achieve over your RS6es?
Question for those of you laptop users...
If you’re really looking for better sound, switch to a Qobuz subscription (you can try for free) and get an iFi iPurifier 3 to clean up the signal coming out of your computer — it’s still noisy despite only being used for music.  Best of luck.
I need help with an amp decision
I think First Watt is a great choice but don’t think they have balanced inputs.  There’s a McCormack DNA-125 on US AudioMart for $929 that’d also be great and can be sent to SMcAudio for further upgrades if desired, but that too has only single-en...
