What cable companies make the best cables and sell them directly?
If I had it to do over again, I’d buy used Acoustic Zen Silver Reference interconnects and Satori speaker cables (double barrel shotgun if you can bi-wire).  Buying good, used cables is one of the best bargains you can get in audio because you can...
Should I add a DDC? Looking for experienced advise please.
I’ve never read anything but very positive reviews from people who switched to an I2S connection, so as soon as as budget allows I’m buying a Singxer SU-6 DDC. My Musician Pegasus DAC also has an I2S input and seems a shame to not use it. FWIW.
cheapest cable upgrade ever
Hey @antigrunge2 thanks for sharing!  How many expensive tweaks get promoted here with dubious results?  This one’s darn near free so if it helps at all it’s a huge return on investment.  If not, take the battery off and use it somewhere else.  I ...
Home Theater Newbie Seeking Advice for Cornwall IV Setup
This is a ridiculous quote IMHO.  Your speakers are very efficient and need nowhere near 200Wpc, so you can save $$$ by not buying unnecessary power.  Frankly, if I’m you I’d seriously consider buying an Anthem MRX540 A/V receiver that’ll sound gr...
How to Add Remote Controlled Volume to Dac + Amp That Doesn't Support It
Not sure how much you want to spend, but a used Bel Canto DAC would do very nicely and not take up much space.  That’s what I’d do.  https://www.audiogon.com/listings/lisai340-bel-canto-design-dac-3-24-192-d-a-converter-with-dac-3-7-digital-input...
ATC SCM 40 question
Are these new or the original version?  I don’t think driving your amp with the RME DAC is doing you any favors here so you might entertain adding a good preamp, and it’d be good to know what cables/interconnects you’re using.  Do you have a carpe...
What cable companies make the best cables and sell them directly?
The best? Who knows as it’s very taste/system dependent, and then there’s budget that I don’t think you specified. Good news is pretty much all have generous trial periods, so read reviews and have at it! Cullen makes very good and reasonably-pric...
Please tell me there is a better solution for travel
LavriCable used to make a lightning to Dragonfly adapter that’s a little smaller and more flexible than the Apple Camera adapter, and it sounds a lot better too — more transparent with better 3D imaging and larger soundstage.  Mine was about $115 ...

The Campfires and Cobalt are a great combo but this connector situ is unacceptable  What about that setup is unacceptable?
The new LSA Signature 50 Monitor "Disruptive Product"
@amorstereo Looking forward to your review.  I think you have the Statement-20s? — and if so it’d be very interesting (bass extension aside) how the new monitors compare, especially from the mids on up, imaging/soundstage, ya know — the good stuff...
The new LSA Signature 50 Monitor "Disruptive Product"
For what it's worth, here is Steve G's take on them: First, somebody get that guy a decent meal.  Pretty lame review IMHO.  He harps incessantly on the bass and speaks very little about the all-important mids and almost nothing on treble.  Also...
Optimal lengths for USB and Ethernet cabling for digital audio
I’ll just say I was gonna go with a shorter Ethernet cable to save $$$ but heard it’s better to keep streamer further away from DAC so I went with 1.5m.  So, not so much the cable but the potential noise from the streamer being 5he problem.  Seems...
The review wehave been promising is up
@aquint So, you started with this excuse… With the 432 EVO Aeon review, as Lalin pointed out, I do have a Baetis server that’s active in my system and I use a lot and, of course, compared to the Belgium product. But how many readers have had...
The new LSA Signature 50 Monitor "Disruptive Product"
86 db sensitivity…..I’m out…. Most monitors have a sensitivity at or around 86dB. I will say the review leaves me wondering if the Sig 50 makes the Sig 10 almost superfluous at least sonically? As a consumer all I can say I’d kudos to Wally for...

Tough crowd. @aquint Not really, if you’re honest and deal in facts. Otherwise, yeah you’ll find this a little rough especially if you’re not accustomed to being held accountable for what you say. Speaking of which, still waiting, as per my pr...
