What’s the rest of your system?
System advice
Really depends on what sound characteristics are most important to you.  I know you’re looking for better bass, but a lot of amps will easily give you that.  And I think you’re finding the sound a little on the bright side?  Anything else?  Also, ...
Definitive Technology Mythos STS crapped out... worth repairing?
It’s a lifestyle speaker.  If you’re serious about music forget the repair headache and take this opportunity to buy better speakers.  If you have a price range and share what sound characteristics are important to you you’ll get some great recomm...
Are Merlin TSM speakers buried with their owners?
At some point I’d try a used pair of original JA Pulsars for $3500 - $4000.  I’d bet they’ll beat your TSMs as good as they are, but if they don’t you can just resell them for little/no loss so not much risk to try.  As a bonus the Pulsars look ju...
Innuous Pulse vs Pulsar
I owned the Zen, then Zenith 3 and recently upgraded to the Pulsar.  The Pulsar is a significant step up from the Zenith 3 sonically. @grannyring  That’s really interesting.  Thanks.

Thinking of changing things up. Need advice on DAC/Streamers
With that said, do you have any suggestions or just trying to talk me out of it Sounds like you got some good suggestions and info above.  The only one I would mention is Bricasti but can’t say anything about sound or how their models compare t...
Thinking of changing things up. Need advice on DAC/Streamers
What’s so complicated about having a separate DAC and streamer?  Unless it’s a space issue I don’t get it, and it’s probably gonna cost you a good bit to get comparable one-box performance that you may not like as much, especially since you’re usi...

Replacing JL Audio F112 v1
@g2the2nd  +1 on Rhythmik.  They are not slow in the least and are excellent for audio and an incredible value because they sell direct.  Read the reviews.  I’ve recommended them to several people here who bought them and they’re all thrilled.  Be...
One Sub or Two?
Definitely two. If you wanna read more on why look up Todd Welti who’s a foremost expert on subwoofers and read his research. For a recommendation, you can save yourself big $$$ by getting two excellent Rhythmik F12G subs for $2500 and get down to...
If Bi-Wiring is an option, should I choose Bi-wiring over single banana with free jumpers
My experience — I found an improvement in shotgun biwire but it is relatively subtle and came at a fairly high price because my cables are expensive.  If you’re happy with all your other components and are looking for a potential improvement it co...
My Denafrips Aries 15th has too much mid -bass, anybody else??
I think you need to readjust your sub settings/placement.  I’d start with that and/or pulling your speakers further out.
System advice
However, when it comes to rock, it’s quite poor; the sound becomes flat and chaotic, with a heavily veiled background. I’m wondering whether the charm of tube DACs is limited to the types of music I mentioned, or if this might be revealing the we...
I am sad
Why is the amp you have a national secret?  Be nice to know which company provides crap service in case anyone else here might be considering buying one.
