2 channel Poll: Vote: Do you use Tubes or SS?
I have all SS system, have been thinking about trying one of the "ICE" digital amps. Everything I am reading about these is very interesting. The power of huge SS amps with mid-highs better than tubes, could these be for real? A guy at the Apogee ...
B&K Sonata M200 vs Aragon paladiums - whats better
Enough power for what?Dave
Krell amplifier with Hales speakers?
Yep, keep us posted. The turn on click is good..it's the protection circuit. The click means..good to go. When the time comes to send the amp for service, you will not hear the click. The forward soundstage is the pre-amp IMO.Dave
Leaving HT for 2 channel-Good or Not?
Get rid of the large TV and get a projector, even a cheap projector blows away RPTV and the screen can be fixed wall mounted or retractable. If you've got a large room you can dump the center channel speaker also. Heck, you can dump all the extra ...
Audiophiles & music-have you got it wrong?
Kind of off topic, But...I picked up Muddy Waters (folk singer) cd the other day. This remaster has caused me to order another Muddy Waters remaster. I've begun to explore more of this old stuff. While Muddy Waters was no stranger to me, I am find...

The Aragon's are much better amps IMO. They can run with the Big Dog's.Dave
Krell amplifier with Hales speakers?
Well, it' a long story but I'll try to keep it short. If you click on my system you can see some pictures of my present system turmoil. I am at this time forced to use the digital-out from my Technics Dvd A-10 into the DAC of my Sunfire theatergran...
Krell amplifier with Hales speakers?
Congrats on the new (old) amp. I have a Ksa-250 on the bottom half of my Apogee Duetta Signatures. If you have not installed dedicated 20amp circut for this amp..I would do so as it's current draw can exceed 15amp circut with some speaker systems,...
Are Apogee Scintilla Speakers worth purchasing
Timo, the little Innersound hi-breds would sound like little toy speakers if placed next to the Scintilla don't you think? Kind of like a pair of book-shelf placed next to your 20/20's. Apple's and orange's IMO. Dave
How many of you guys use a HT processor ?
I like the DAC in my pre-pro for two channel music a lot, I think you may be barking up the wrong tree for what you are looking for. For a more simple (less cables) way to go, consider a cd player or DAC with a high quality volume control direct t...

Are Apogee Scintilla Speakers worth purchasing
I have never listened to a pair of Scintilla, I have listened to the Centaur, Centaur Minor, Stage and Duetta Signatures. I own a pair of Centaur Minors and a pair of Duetta Signatures. You need to except the fact that if and when your speakers gi...
Are Beveridge Speakers worth purchasing
I'm not 100% sure but I think the company has been restarted by the son of the founder of these great speakers. I had a long listen to a pair (not sure of the model) years ago, to say I was impressed is an understatement. While they didn't have th...
TVC vs. active pre?
My limited experence with passives in my system has been very favorable towards them. I think they have the kind of midrange quality that tube lovers talk about..only better. I have listened to the Placette passive (very good) and I owned the Bent...
Audiophiles & music-have you got it wrong?
The amount of music one can find on the WWW is so vast that it sometimes seems to be out numbered only by the stars in the sky and the bugs on the earth. My problem isn't finding recordings, it's affording the multitude that I find.Equipment, I en...
