Sub output: Is it the woofer size or the rated RMS Sometimes it's simply a matter of Proportion, like sticking a babies head, on a 250# man. Or building a huge state of the art hometheater sound system, and then watching the movie on a 27" screen....it's just not right.
Sub output: Is it the woofer size or the rated RMS StanwalSome good points, so I'll keep this short:Regarding Wilson: (They have Thor's Hammer subwoofer?)...two 15'sRegarding Rel subs:(and in no way intended as a knock) (Fine subs, but mostly over rated at Audiogon, and probably under rated, at mo...
Sub output: Is it the woofer size or the rated RMS StanwalI didn't attack manufactures at all, I simply stated that the reason they build small subwoofers is marketing. 7.1 speaker set up recommendation I use VMPS speakers, and VMPS passive subs. Easy to drive, great bass...and have the ability to play loudly, without distortion.Receiver is an Onkyo 805, and two Onkyo M-504's to drive the 4 subwoofers.Note: I just upgraded to seven channels aroun...
Shorting pins for balanced input? When I had my old Krell Ksa-250 amp, if you used the single ended inputs, without inserting the shorting pins into the balanced inputs...you would get Hummmmm with your music. Dave
