replacing Dunlavy SC-IV's I have owned the IV,IV-A, and the V's. Another audiogoner"Calloway" turned me on to the piega line. I now own the c-10ltd which are better in most ways than the Dunlavy's. The bass on the Dunlavy's is bigger if your room allows you to get it right...
Power Chords or Power Plants? Agree with Tpsonic. The power plant lasted 2 weeks in my system. Definite sound degradation and I was only using it on the front end. Good cords seem to help a bit or a better conditioner will help.
HMS. cables Mr Strassner did email me and he will soon have another distributer shortly in the U.S. otherwise he still gives a 3 week free trial and said he can ship UPS in 3-4 days. Sounds like HMS is back on the right track.
Manley vs Wolcott for Innersound Eros I have owned the Wolcotts and I just recently purchased the Manley 250's. On cone speakers the Wolcott's weren;t the best choice. No dynamics and fair bass. The new Manley 250's have awesome control and dynamics driving the Piega c-10ltd. Best sou...

I am considering the Piega C-8 Limited or the P10. Tireguy What were you thinking?
I am considering the Piega C-8 Limited or the P10. Its obvious from the previous posts that the systems were set up improperly if they didn't like the sound. The reason I do like the piega's is the coherency and revealing top end. In a monster room the piega 10' s bass wasn't as good as some large...
Piega P-10...one of the best available.... I agree and it is a steal at the used price compared to the prices of other so called highend speakers. It was the best sounding speaker in my room at the time. Resolution is ultra good and there may a sizzle on poor recorded material and the wron...
Aloia PST11.01Preamp w/phono Aloia is the best buy in the market. The preamp and phono were better sounding than The CAT signature in my system. The CAt is ranked as one of the best pre in the market and costs around 6k. You can't go wrong with the Aloia pre especially at the ...
Amp suggestion for Kharma Ceramique 2s?? If you you like the qualities of the Aloia 1301 then you should check the Aloia 1501. It is double the power with great bass and dynamics without losing the Aloia smoothness. The price is a steal compared the other high end amps. Drives the Piega ...
Hi-Fi wanna-be needing advice on an Amp purchase One of the best amps regardless of price are the Aloia's. I still see a few of the 130I's for under 2k. These amps are equal to Wolcott, plinius and Pass in sound quality. They are a steal at retail. The 150I are double the power and price with sti...
Isolation transformers on CDP to reduce glare? The audio tekne cd transformer reduced the glare without changing the sonics. I don't know how it works because of the Japanese manual. I have played with interconnects, bybee filters and none have eliminated the glare without reducing the sonics. ...
Why my system has detail but no body & warm vocal? Change to a speaker with warm midrange
The best speaker you ever heard? The new Piega C-10 Ltd are definitely a major upgrade from the P-10s. Deep and tighter bass with to die for midrange. New ribbon technology and 4 woofers makes a marked improvement
Piega's "New "Spk line: "Improved or Just Hype?" The new C-10 Ltd is definitely a major improvement over the no slouch P-10. After considerable break-in the most noticeable upgrade is the Midrange. Much clearer with a bigger soundstage. The bass was deeper and tighter also. The sound for the fir... |
