I believe people were trying to help you from making an expensive mistake. Enjoy your cdplayer
Best Used Solid State Amp for less than $5000?
I still believe Aloia amps(15.0I) are one of the best buys in audio. I've seen them for as low as 2k

I have to agree with golden ears. If your are going to spend that much money you should definitely demo them or at least get a loaner. Other things to consider if you need a player with volume controls if you are not using a preamp. System matchin...
Mac C2200 Vs Supratek Chardonnay/Syrah line-stage
If your just using the cd as a source why not forget about a preamp and get a cdplayer with volume controls. You will get much better sound for a lot less money. Audio aero cdplayer would be a suggestion
Cable suggestions? Opinions needed...
Jena labs have been the best cables in my system by far. I was using HMS which were very fast detailed but didn't have the rich dynamic unveiling characteristics of the Jena Labs( Symphony's).
Piega P-10 / Solid State or tube amplification?
I am using Piega c-10ltd with the Manley 250's in triode and sound is excellent. They definitely need some power to make them sing.
UPS, and i don't mean shipping
Sounds to me it does the same as the PS audio stuff. Check it out and see if works and let us know

Audio Aero Capitole II is more transparent and musical than the audiomeca. These are the only 2 I am familiar with and continue to own the Audio Aero
Album of the Week - Opinion/Samples
I am still spoiled from the 70's when you walked into a record store in Philly or New york City and it would take an hour to get through the new releases for just that week. Lots of original music. I am not condemning anyones choices and agree wit...
Bill Frisell
Frisell definitely gets around. His guitar on Lyle May's Solo albums is excellent. I still prefer his fusion stuff
New Buddy Guy - "Blues Singer"
I too found this a disappointment but he is still one of the best and will continue listening to his early works
Album of the Week - Opinion/Samples
Not to take anything away from the opinions but it certainly sucks how little choice there is for really moving music. I search for weeks in stores and online to scratch out a few good ones. Aren't there any trained young musicians anymore?
Michael Hedges. Fantastic CD......Aerial B.....
Even better sonics and recording would be "Oracle"
Peter Gabriel and music like his
That is a tough question. If you like the new world music there is an AWFUL lot that sounds the same.Which to me is totally different from his Genesis and solo stuff. I would second Hackett's work and Tony Levin's work
