Piego P-10 or big Thiels?
If you have a medium sized room you can't go wrong with p-10's. They are fun to listen to and CZAPP is right in that at used prices it the best bargain. Very easy to drive
Fluids for VPI cleaner -- any horror stories?
I am using a nitty gritty and tried using homemade solutions that we thought were the same breakdowm as the over the counter ones. The solutions ended up breaking down the felt and the glue. I am back to the Nitty gritty solutions. The Vpi is the ...
Aloia Amp Question
Insane low used price for an amp of this Quality and construction. It was one of the best solid states I have heard
Own Piega p10 thinking Vandersteen 5 or 5A
You can't go wrong with the p-10's especially at the insanely low used prices. I think its the best buy in the market. The vandersteen in my opinion are more laid back and lack the life or PRAT as with many other speakers. Good matching of compone...
Aloia Amp Question
I pit the power supply on top and had no problems. It does trow off some heat so be careful where you put it.
HMS. cables
I have noticed a surge in the buying of all the used HMS cables on Audiogon. Is there a new distributer in the U.S.? I have noticed the prices have risen on the retail recently.
equipment interface to rack tweaks
For me the polycrystal rack was a stunning upgrade over the Roomtunes justarack. A more focused presentation. As far as how much energy is stored or not it is not relevant to my ears. It simply sounds better. I am using all Manley and audio aero c...
PS Audio P 500 Power Plant
The power plants were one of the most overhyped accesories. I fell for it and bought one and sold it in 1 month. Degraded the dynamics of my system. Ther are numerous conditioners that do a much better job
Has anyone heard Piega speakers?
I do like the piega sound but only have listened to the p-10's and now I own the c-10ltd. I have no experience with the smaller speakers. The midrange is very revealing so those listeners who prefer a laid back presentation may not choose them. Ac...
replacing Dunlavy SC-IV's
I have owned the IV,IV-A, and the V's. Another audiogoner"Calloway" turned me on to the piega line. I now own the c-10ltd which are better in most ways than the Dunlavy's. The bass on the Dunlavy's is bigger if your room allows you to get it right...
Power Chords or Power Plants?
Agree with Tpsonic. The power plant lasted 2 weeks in my system. Definite sound degradation and I was only using it on the front end. Good cords seem to help a bit or a better conditioner will help.
HMS. cables
Mr Strassner did email me and he will soon have another distributer shortly in the U.S. otherwise he still gives a 3 week free trial and said he can ship UPS in 3-4 days. Sounds like HMS is back on the right track.
Manley vs Wolcott for Innersound Eros
I have owned the Wolcotts and I just recently purchased the Manley 250's. On cone speakers the Wolcott's weren;t the best choice. No dynamics and fair bass. The new Manley 250's have awesome control and dynamics driving the Piega c-10ltd. Best sou...
HMS. cables
Czapp, Does he converse in English?
I am considering the Piega C-8 Limited or the P10.
