Which model Brahma are you looking at in terms of size ? Is it the 10", 12", 15", 18" ??? If you look at their recommendations, none of the smaller drivers is recommended for sealed use. As to being "long throw without losing definition", whose wo...
How Do you hide/camouflage your rats nest?

Stereophile looses Jonathan Scull
I am somewhat torn about seeing Jonathan leave Stereophile. I can relate to both sides of the argument being presented here. Having dealt with him directly via email on a few occasions, i found him to be an easy to talk to individual and someone t...
Why has Audiogon suspended "Wanted" ads?
I have used the wanted ad's with phenomenal success and would like to see them back. I would not mind paying a small fee for them as they have saved me hundreds upon hundreds of dollars in the long run. As Bob had mentioned, i have also received a...
Serious scare over hearing loss
Scott, i don't find your post self-indulgent in the least and consider it a very thoughtful and timely "public service announcement". Glad that you caught this before something more severe came out of it. Your post may help others or at least make...

That line of drivers is not really optimized for any specific type of tuning i.e. sealed, ported, passive radiator, TL, etc... As such, it works equally well ( or is it equally poorly ??? ) in several different alignments. It was kind of designed ...
Which cables, power cords and conditioners.
I also forgot to mention one other aspect of "Power Cord / Power Line Conditioning" testing that i can do with this device. It can also hook into my computer and do real time spectral analysis. All i have to do is figure out how that damn program ...
Any Pink Floyd Fans out there ???
I second Treyhoss' suggestion. I like the Division Bell too although you don't hear many people mention it when speaking of Floyd. Meddle is a classic and needs no further introduction.Have you ever wondered where Floyd would be now / where they w...
tube amp/flutter in speakers?
I have no idea what it might be. Keep in mind that some speakers are capable of going MUCH lower in frequency response than others are. I have one set of speakers that will throw madly at 5 Hz while others do not flicker in the least. As such, you...
How Do you hide/camouflage your rats nest?
Yeah Mezmo, 12 channels of amplification just to do 2 channel stereo. They are all "SET" amps though, so you're looking at a total of about 30 watts per speaker. JUST KIDDING : ) I do know guys that are doing stuff like that ( multiple set amps ac...
Ohm Speakers, thoughts?
Out of curiosity, what did you find inside of the "sealed can" in yours ? Please be as descriptive as possible. Sean>

No mention of VC diameter or materials used. Since the "Dumax results" locked up my computer, i didn't get a chance to check out the actual test results. Keep in mind that it will be very tough to get "good" sound out of a driver like this. If you...
Dedicated AC lines???
Kotta, are you recommending the use of aluminum wire for wiring a house or circuit ??? As far as i know, that is against the law now, or at least it is in Illinois. Someone needs to clarify this. "HEEEEEEEY Glen"...... If you are recommending alum...
Are you a D.I.Y?
DIY is FABULOUS. Not only does it expand your knowledge, fun and experience at the same time, it also saves you cash ( sometimes TALL cash ) along the way. You can build or modify an existing design to exactly what you want, tailoring the end resu...
Which cables, power cords and conditioners.
I just finished building one of my "projects". This is a device that will allow me to simultaneously view electrical waveforms, take voltage and dB measurements and actually listen to the differences in the filtering action of various PC's and PLC...
