I got one of these on my RP6:leather matI think it sounds and looks great. My local Rega dealer said I should put it side-by-side to a $65 Herbie Mat . I've used Herbie Mats on other tables and they were good, but I like the fact that the leather ...

I use this one:black clip lightIt is cheap and small (wish it was even smaller). Plus, I usually don't like LED light colors and they can be expensive.

Buy the Cardas freq sweep and burn-in record. Has a speed strobe check lable and is a good test / burn-in record.

Did you check your TT speed? How close is it to 33.3?

Did you move the table recently? If not, probably something in the cartridge or phono stage (tubes?).

Check your turntable speed. My pro-ject Xpression III ran quite fast. Something I didn't realize until I replaced the table. Both pro-ject and music hall are from the same manufacturer. I also had a speed box. LPs can sound bright when running fast.
