Anyone ever heard or read about JM Labs Cobalt 806
When you buy an already discounted product, resale is always terrible. Meaning, if you wanted to get rid of them, you'd have to go to the 400-425 dollar range, I'm guessing. Maybe you aren't concerned about resale, I don't know. Paradigm Studio 20...
Which one is best..
Depends on your room, and speakers.
Kappa 9. Parasound HCA-3500 WILL NOT power them
I'm pretty sure the Parasound will drive them. Sounds like the amp could be defective. Or, the crossovers are shot in the speakers. When you hooked up the Denon, what told you it wasn't enough power?

They are good, but there is a lot of competition in the 600 dollar range that will compete. Keep in mind too, if you are a "normal" audiophile, you will be concerned about resale, and they could be real tough to get rid of since Audio Advisor has ...
High power integrated amps??
I agree with Greg. For that kind of power, the 1200 dollar option is a no brainer. I'm sure that Ty has tested different power amps and is happy with the option he offers. You won't find an integrated that can compete with that. Even Musical Fideli...
Need to steer away from Bryston amp added to AVR
If you are looking at the Parasound 2125, take a look at the Parasound Halo A23. A great sounding amp, that is kind of middle of the road. Can be had for around $525.
Krell vs Musical Fidelity
With Triangle, no question I would choose musical fidelity.
jm labs focal vs definitive technology
I agree with Ozzy62. Leave the Def Tech's for movies. Stick with the focals for music.
Looking for a bookshelf at 2k or less.....
Angaria, you and I think a like. I did not like the VR-1's in the time that I owned them. I was just plain bored as well. I also did not like the PSB Stratus Minis that I had. I paid 550 bucks for them and I didn't think they were even worth that....
2 channel for Revel F30's
Most B&W speakers are rated at 89dB or so. I wouldn't recommend powering them with a 25 watt tube amp, though.I don't think the issue of sensitivity is as clear cut as you make it.
2 channel for Revel F30's
Aball makes a great suggestion. I owned the A308 integrated with the F30's. One of the more favorite systems I have had. The bass from that system was very good, but not overpowering.
what is the "best sounding" component ?
I hope you mean poster intead of poser. Twice.
bypassing a crossover in a two-way
Disconnect the (+) lead off the tweeter and solder one end of the cap on the tweeter and the other end onto the positive binding post. You'll probably have to use a small wire from the end of the new cap to the binding post. As the lead from the n...
Speaker and amplifier power handling
You'll do just fine with that setup. I think you'll enjoy it. Don't take the manual too seriously. From the amplifier maker or the speaker maker. I wouldn't be afraid to power the 601's with the KW500 from musical fidelity. It would be overkill. B...
one-box solution
How much do you want to spend? The MF that Getheleadout speaks of is nine grand. The LD40 is less than 1K I believe. Linn also makes one.
