2023 AXPONA Show Report Overall a positive experience for me. It’s been a few years since I’ve attended. I was front row center in the million dollar estelon room. I thought it sounded very good. The credo room was fun also. A stand out for me was the CSS room, excep...
Restoring vintage speakers Do those meridian speakers come apart? I’m not familiar with them, but a quick google search revealed shipping could be tricky unless they can be separate from the integrated stand.
Restoring vintage speakers Unfortunately, not in the Bay Area. I’m in the Midwest. Shipping isn’t out the question as I’ve done a lot of it. In my head, I’m looking for a project that is intended to preserve the original design (albeit with a different or more interestin...
To Harbeth or not to Harbeth, That is the question... Everyone has different taste. I’ve auditioned Harbeth a number of times. I have lived with the P3 for a short time. I have always found them very much recessed on vocals. Because of that, they are not for me. So…. I say not to Harbeth.
Micromega M-100/150 field reports Thanks for the response. The simple solution is for me to connect an extender via Ethernet. I’ll give that a try tomorrow.
Micromega M-100/150 field reports I realize this thread is a little out of date, but hoping the previous contributors might be able to respond. I just got my M100 back from repair where it apparently had an “intermittent fuse case holder”, and bad “varistors”. Anyway, seems fine...
Integrated stopped working It’s been unplugged for hours and replugged. While I didn’t try a new cord, I did take the cord I had been using and put it on a different piece of gear - worked as it should. Definitely an issue with the Micromega.
Integrated stopped working So frustrating. It took me a while to figure out how to get the cover off.there is no internal fuse that I can see. I’m not sure how to “unplug and reset”. But, I have plugged and unplugged many times during my testing.I don’t think it’s possibl...
Integrated stopped working I did unplug the amp from the power strip and go directly into the wall that I know works. Unfortunately that didn’t solve the problem. I’ll open the case tomorrow and see if there is anything obvious and let you know what I find.
Integrated stopped working I checked the fuse with a multimeter tonight and it’s good. So... I don’t really want to crack open the case, but it might be my only other option.
Integrated stopped working Guys, thanks for all the responses. As many have suggested, I’m gonna pull the fuse and test it.regarding the power cord, I unplugged and replugged many times with no luck. I have two other devices on this same receptacle, so I know I have power...
Integrated stopped working Thanks for the response. I don’t have headphones connected or another device used for trigger. What’s weird is the red standby light should come on, but doesn’t. I could be wrong, but would think if it needed a trigger, the standby light would ...
Integrated amplifier search The Micromega seems good. I’m happy with the sound quality overall, but I was hoping for more from the room correction. I’ll try it again maybe this weekend to see if I feel like it dials things in a littlebetter for me.
Integrated amplifier search I landed on a Micromega M100 with MARS room correction. A little bigger in size than I had hoped, but checks every other box. Plus I can hang it on the wall vertically if I want. It arrives Monday, I’m excited to fire it up.
Micromega M-100/150 field reports Just purchased an m100 with MARS. With a little luck it’ll be here before the weekend. Moving from a Parasound Halo Int. I’m geeked about trying the room correction. Everything I’ve read about it seems to be very positive. |
