Luxman L-509X or L-590AXII
Luxman 590axii vs Pass Labs int 60
The Luxman L-590AXII is very very good. I have it matched with Marten Duke 2 and it’s a magical combination. Heaven. I did consider the Pass Labs INT-60 but eventually got the Luxman. Apart from the excellent sound quality, it’s build like a tank ...
Harbeth 30.1 or 40.1
M30 is my least favorite Harbeth--by far. It does not have the same magic that their other models possess.Same here. The M30 and 30.1 series are my least favorite as well. SHL5 Plus is a much better balanced speaker.
Harbeth vs Vandersteen vs Sonner
I have the privilege of owning them paired with Rogue Audio separates and the sound vs. the 30.2s is more open, transparent and with deeper bass response.Avanti1960, I would agree with this. Standard SHL5+ would be my choice as well, especially si...
Acrolink Cables, anyone heard them?
Correction to the above post. It’s the 8N-A2080III Evo. This cable truly changes everything. Very smooth, detailed and nuanced. It brought a massive difference to the system. I was previously using a single-ended cable which is priced a lot lower ...
Luxman vs Pass Labs
Romney80, I also have the L-590AXII. It is a very good amp. If your DAC can take balanced cables, by all means try a good quality balanced cable. The Luxman is very sensitive to cabling and will perform at a much higher level if you pick the corre...
Acrolink Cables, anyone heard them?
I'm getting an Acrolink 8N-2090III Evo XLR this week. This is my costliest ever interconnect purchase even when buying used. I surely hope it will live up to expectations!
Acrolink Cables, anyone heard them?
Thanks for the response stereo5. It is useful to note that there are fake Acrolink cables on Ebay.
Acrolink Cables, anyone heard them?
There are so many models and they are quite costly. Which one is best value for the money? 7N-A20707N-D50007N-DA31007N-DA33007N-A2500 II7N-D6100 II7N-DA6300 II
Luxman vs Pass Labs
Haven't heard this piece, but have listened to many other Luxmans, and for whatever reason I've never heard one that I would buy. What I've heard is a lack of smoothness, or maybe a bit of graininess (don't know what else to call it), on some th...

Yyzsantabarbara - did you listen to the 3 amps in the same system with the same speakers? Otherwise the evaluation wouldn't be too useful.
LFD NCSE MK3
I thought it's the LFD Zero mk3 that looked very bare internally. The NCSE looks a lot better but perhaps not up to the high build of say Pass Labs, Luxman or Accuphase standards. In the end it's the sound that counts but it can be amazing that an...
Luxman L-509X
Fjn04, that is surely useful. Currently I have Harbeth and Marten and it is true they sound very different from each other. The Harbeth sounds great driven by the Naim pre power solid state amps (they sound soft and dull driven by 7 other amp comb...
Luxman L-509X
I was about to purchase the L-590AXII after reading a rave review from Steve Huff’s site but stumbled upon this thread saying the L-509X trounced the 590AXII. Link here: https://www.stevehuffphoto.com/2018/11/25/hi-fi-review-luxman-590-axii-integr...
Lively, fast & open sounding integrated under 3k?
What are your speakers? Maybe your speakers are the culprit to the unnatural warm sound you are getting. Not so much about the amp.
