Pass Labs Int 25 vs Int 60
By the way Steve, I bought the Luxman L-590AXII after reading your review of the amp on your page. Your high praise on the amp was spot on as the Luxman sounds very good with my Marten Duke 2. I was actually deciding between Pass Labs INT-60 and L...
Pass Labs Int 25 vs Int 60
The Heresy IV and LaScala AL5 are easy to drive speakers with a high sensitivity of 99dB and 105dB respectively, and a nominal impedance of 8 ohms. With these speakers it is not a surprise the Pass Labs INT-25 sounded best in comparison to all oth...
To Harbeth or not to Harbeth, That is the question...
Proac sounds leaner with an overall livelier sound. Airier and more sparkle in the treble. The small bookshelves particularly the Tablette 10 Signature is very popular.

If I am able to give a like to akg_ca’s post, I’d do it. Just to add, the old Monitor 30 is a far cry from the 30.1, 30.2 Anniversary and the latest 30.2 XD. If buying used, avoid the M30 at all cost as the sound is excessively shut-in, warm and t...
Is there a point of diminished returns with amps and Harbeth 30.1s?
CD318, perhaps start a new thread on blind listening test with level matched amps if you are interested? You may attract more interest from people who are keen on the subject instead of posting it here on this thread.

This is an interesting issue when you think about it. It’s tough to conceptualize a business creating a public forum that includes people complaining about their products. I would think somewhere in the forum rules it probably states that matters ...
Is there a point of diminished returns with amps and Harbeth 30.1s?
Alan Shaw has long welcomed any debate on his opinions regarding cables and amps. He discourages it to the extent the forum was split into two sections, one for technical discussion based on facts and science while the other section was for subjec...

can’t pay attention to alan shaw and his blanket ’truisms’ on amps cabling stands etc for his harbeth speakers, as good speakers as they are...Yes, that’s true. The leader has the support of his cohorts.. It’s a tight-knit clan on the Harbeth foru...

All good responses here. My 2 cents worth. If you are happy with the sound quality of the system, just stick with what you have. There will always be something out there which will sound different and/or better than the current gear that you have ...
The Luxman L-595A SE integrated is coming.
590AXII on steroids? Or perhaps closer sounding to 509X? Interesting. Just wished Luxman made the 595 prettier to match the stellar sound quality.
British Integrated Amps
I have been in this hobby for many years. You really get what you pay for, not all the time but most of the time. There isn’t any doubt that budget or modest gear may sound good or great. However, once you break a certain threshold and get into hi...
British Integrated Amps
I hang out quite often on a British hifi forum. The British integrateds that get the most love and attention are usually in the lower price bracket representing excellent value for money. The Rega, Naim, Sugden, Exposure and Arcam are commonly use...
The Luxman L-595A SE integrated is coming.
Joeinid, thanks for the clarification which is certainly useful. I’m glad the 595A SE has worked out great for you. At the price it ought to deliver. I have been a Naim user for many years, 10 to be exact starting from NAC202/NAP200 for 7 years to...
The Luxman L-595A SE integrated is coming.
joeinid637 posts06-14-2021 5:04am The 595A is now a different animal. It’s absolutely amazing. Big 3D, open and sweet with absolutely wonderful vocals. Sooooo much better than when first fired up and absolutely stunning now. It’s only going to get...

Although I am a fan of Luxman amps, I have to say this one looks ugly and cheap in comparison to the current range of Luxman integrateds. Sorry. It looks like a Yamaha instead which is usually a downgrade in build, looks and sound quality.
