Triangle Signature Theta, exactly what you are looking for.
Do Harbeth speakers really need a 4000 damping factor?
All competently designed amps of low noise and distortion will sound alike. Is that you Mr Hirsch?
CD Player: Vintage or modern ones?
As incredible this unit is, CD’s (Redbook, DVD Audio, SACD with Multi or two channels) still outperforms streaming at its best. I have only had my Cambridge CXN100 streamer for 3 weeks but my CD playback is well sorted. So far my CD playback is...
The Shure V15 V with a Jico SAS/B stylus VS The Soundsmith Hyperion MR and Lyra Atlas SL
I also hate to tell you this, but the Infinity Black Widow was way too lite for it. I tracked it at 2.5 grams, had no trouble with it. It played warped records well.
The Shure V15 V with a Jico SAS/B stylus VS The Soundsmith Hyperion MR and Lyra Atlas SL
@russ69 I'm talking back in 1964 when the V15 was released. It had very little if any serious competition at the time. Your title says Shure V15 V. That was released in 1984. Not sure what a V15  sounded like in 1964 I was only 10 years old. I ...
The Shure V15 V with a Jico SAS/B stylus VS The Soundsmith Hyperion MR and Lyra Atlas SL
In its day the Shure V15 was just an average cartridge. Many better cartridges were available. Dynavector and Grado come to mind.
Integrated Tube Amp approx. $2,500
You know, you don't want to go too cheap on a tube amp. I would want something you can get serviced in the USA. The Prima Luna 100 is near your budget. You also want to be able to afford tube replacement when the time comes. The Prima Luna would w...
CD Player: Vintage or modern ones?
I have a spare Cambridge 640C, and a Pioneer Elite stashed away while I'm using my OPPO player. Not sure what I'm going to do when they burn out. Probably get a transport and run it through a DAC.
Yamaha RN-2000a
FM tuner with 40 assignable station presets Damn it, I looked everywhere and I didn’t see that. Thanks for the correction. I still recommend the MF6si/streamer. Especially if the stations you listen to stream.
Bookshelf or stand mount help please
I might get fried for this but I would get a good blutooth speaker rather then assemble a budget system.
Willsenton R35i Integrated Amp with EL34 tubes
Some amps have too close a tolerance for the red leds. As long as it resets, you are good. The fact that it is mostly green says you are in range.
Recommendations for a new 2-channel amp
Rogue Sphinx V3 magnum with Gold Lyon upgraded tubes. You will not find a more musical amp. This amp can play with the big boys.
Yamaha RN-2000a
You are just SOL on a FM stereo receiver. Same with the Yamaha, no FM. I think you would be better off with a nice powerful integrated amp and a separate music streamer. Can I recommend a Musical Fidelity M6si paired with a Cambridge streamer. The...
Infinity RS 1B - How does the 'old dream speaker' compare to today's speakers?
I have two pairs of RS1B woofer towers, and I have been listening to Infinity EMIMs and EMITs for decades. They are still pretty good but I needed a change after all these years so I have been listening to other speakers. I really like my Triangle...
DIfferences in Philips Miniwatt 12AU7
I'm really hot on Gold Lyons lately, they do everything you want a tube to do.
