Impressed by Pangea Audio AC-9SE I'm still hearing no difference after about 12-13 hours, I tried it on my preamp too. I'm beginning to lose hope, but nothing ventured, nothing gained in this case maybe. One thing, I keep reading from the science crowd how you can't trust your ear...
Are Revel and Paradigm Stuck? The theory that Paradigm or Revel should be updating their top of the line models every other year or so is at odds with the marketplace and economic reality of the situation. The industry as a whole doesn't replace/update speaker models every oth...
Cable Cooking/Burnin Air has a problem. It allows oxidization.
Has anybody tried using single solid core cables? Since my earlier post about using all solid core, I did a tweak. Brass conducts less effectively than copper, and I so I took my cheap banana plugs out of the loop. I also used DeOxit on all of the connections. I'm getting better highs now.On usin...
Impressed by Pangea Audio AC-9SE About 9 hours on the PC now, and from what I've read you need a good 20 hours. At this point I'm hearing a very subtle improvement over the stock Oppo cord. I also took some gold plated brass banana plugs out of the signal path am am using bare sp...
Cable Cooking/Burnin I'd say they are real depending on the cable.
Cable Cooking/Burnin Its obvious that some have not heard Morrow cables at various points of breaking in. They can sound quit awful, and it isn't subtle. Way worse than whatever you had in there previously. And then they start to get it together, the soundstage grows,...
Best lines in a song I heard this by chance earlier this week and it stuck with me. The song is For These Times, Martina Mcbride:And freedom is a wordSome cry out and some whisper
Cable Cooking/Burnin I had my doubts about burn in until I acquired Morrow Audio cables. They suggest 500 hours to get to full break in, although by 300 you are most of the way there.
Impressed by Pangea Audio AC-9SE Sure, at this point I've had it on the Oppo 95 for a day. Owners say to let it break in somewhat so I'm going to give it a week or more, right off the bat I couldn't really hear any improvements.
Parasound A21 Also an owner of the A21, with no experience of the Aragon. I looked it up, that amp retails for $6000! the A21 is less than half that, and doesn't double it's output at 4 ohms. I've only experience with budget gear like NAD, Emotiva, or Adcom, bu...
Impressed by Pangea Audio AC-9SE I'm waiting to receiver a Pangea 14SE MkII, I'm curious as to whether there will be any differences. A few years ago I made a diy cable but it didn't really do anything for me.
Quality Power Cord There are so many brands out there, but what Al says is good advice.
Solid State Amplifier Advancements In A Decade Interesting thread, the comments by John Curl are a disappointment for me. It reminds me of a vintage Sansui receiver from the early 70's that I acquired. I could not believe how good that old thing sounded, I preferred it over my near flagship On...
Great multichannel amps do not cut it in stereo Hmm, maybe that's why the 3 channel amp I had didn't cut it in my 2 channel system. |
