Emotiva XPA-2
Gumby, are you referring to the XDA preamp they have? That was also too bright in my system, plus the volume is lossy, so it wasn't a good purchase for me. I'd beg to differ on it beating units costing much more as some find the DAC Magic by Cambr...
How Long Ago Since You Cried Listening To Music?
Why am I reviving an old thread, not sure but I remembered reading this thread a few weeks ago.Anyway, for some reason when I sing the national anthem I have to watch it because a get a frog in my throat.
Emotiva XPA-2
Oh, I thought this was going to be a thread discussing if the XPA-2 was a good fit for you. Instead it's a thread saying...?Anyway, as far as I'm concerned, synergy with speakers counts for something. With my speakers, Emotiva amps are too bright....

What's Up with Magnapan at Shows?
Sounds like there are some axes to grind in this thread. Kind of weird, in an industry of manufacturing components in China, you have a company that has refused the temptation for big profit increases to stay in the US. Haters gonna hate I guess.
NAD C165 vs Parasound 2100 vs Emotiva USP-1
I have been researching pre-amps myself in this price range(under 1000) and have looked into these models. The Parasound P3 is now discontinued. I've read the impressions of several owners that were underwhelmed with it. The 2100 was apparently an...
