Are You Happy With Your Phono Preamp? +1 @z32kerber
Solid state or Tubes preamp phono stage. Look into the Gold Note PH-10 it is neutral yet dynamic and has great detail and never sounds shrill. It has unbelievable flexibility so no matter what cartridge you get down the road it will be able to handle
Comparison of Transports I can't believe you are trying a 3rd unit! After 2 failures I'd be looking elsewhere.
Upgrading I'd do power cords 1st
What Is Most Important? When I can forget about the equipment and just enjoy the music🎶
Need advice for a replacement phono cartridge @michobr59 what type of music do you listen to?
How long should speaker cables be? Keep them under 440 feet!
Looking for a DAC that's better than Mc C47 Listen to a Bricasti M3. Then let us know your thoughts.
Acoustic Signature turntables @plinko I'm sure you can't go wrong with either a AS or Kuzma tabke, both are 1st class. To me I'd prefer the DC motor also the AS is a bit "blinky" IMO but everyone has different preferences. Keep us posted on what you end up with and enjoy.
Need advice for a replacement phono cartridge @mijostyn agree EVERYTHING sounds good with a Rosewood Signature. It's not supposed to be like that IMHO. Try a SoundSmith cartridge, yes not the most detailed but sounds like music to my ears
Need advice for a replacement phono cartridge OP where are you located?

Need advice for a replacement phono cartridge Sorry to hear @michobr59 If you were to buy a new cartridge what price range?
MM, MC, or MI cartridge @mglik I’ve heard the Epoch3 very nice a bit smooth sounding and more laid back and not a forceful cartridge which can be good or ok depending on your preferences.
MM, MC, or MI cartridge You can always do the 2nd headshell route. I'll be going that way with a Kuzma arm. |
