Anybody have an actively multi-amplified system?
After using actively multi-amped systems for years(pro); I started doing it at home, in 1981. By then: I had my own shoppe building, modding and repairing pro and home audio speaker systems and electronics. My first home system used KEF drivers an...
Fuses that matter.
It would be nice for Mr S to return the fuse to Jerry, for analysis.
Fuses that matter.
Mr B- I wonder what the odds are of one of these fuses getting off the line completely filled. It would then take very little expansion, to result in leakage. Hydraulic pressure HAS to go somewhere. Perhaps combined with a loose cap/poor seal? Man...
Audio Magic Fuse Leak Problem???
As Mr B said, "Vibrational Damping"), BUT- I intended a double entendre(I was being a smartass). =;^)
Fuses that matter.
Liquids expand when heat is applied, and liquids will not compress(had to go somewhere). Any overload, that heats a fuse's element slowly, will also heat the liquid. A rapidly blown fuse element; not quite as much.

Bit of McIntosh / Thorens pricing help...
This site lists quite a few Mac & a couple Thorens pieces:( http://www.audioclassics.com/brand.php3?brand=McIntosh ) If yours are not shown; contact them and they would probably give you some guidance. They've been selling Mac stuff for decades.
Does it make sense?
While you are experimenting with your new PCs: Compare your presentation with the Belkin out of the system completely, then with it only supplying your source and preamp(amps still direct from wall socket). BTW: Do you have dedicated lines to your...
Does it make sense?
I found it interesting that the component, in my system, calling for the least electricity of my socket(my phono stage @ <2A), exhibited the greatest improvement, through the use of a Hi-Fi Tuning Supreme fuse and an upgraded power cord(Zu Moth...
