Andra II speaker tilt/effective tweeter height
Der - Interested to hear your findings. I have Fontaines (top 3/4 of Andras) and do notice a difference when I stand. When I set mine up I levelled the small top surface. I figured that was what I was supposed to do. Mine are about 11' away. For m...
Do you spend more on audio than your income allows
Never, but it is a battle. Overall my system cost me close to half for what it retails by: buying demos/used equipment; doing extensive research in selecting components which punch above their weight, such as Mapletree Audio 2A SE Linestage Preamp...

Aren't they angled such to time-align the drivers? Have you tried toeing them in for better HF response instead of tilting them down?
Beatles covers: better than originals?
"She's a Woman" by Omar and the Howlers. Again, not better, but different and as enjoyable. Beatles did this song very well. For some reason I HATE nearly all covered Beatles songs. 'Taint seemly.

Anyone use CD tweaks

Jazz at the Pawn Shop...
Otherwise known (by me) as, "Jazz at the Yawn Shop". Stellar recorded, ho hum music. And I LOVE jazz.
how much power do you need two drive magnpan1.6s
Eldartford ...I actually made some measurements while my MG1.6 was playing very very loud music. How did you do this? I would love to know what my speakers are demanding during my play.
Miles Davis Newbe Question
I'd also recommend a live recording as well, such as, "In Person Friday and Saturday Nights at the Blackhawk, Complete". Great music, easily accessible, and terrific sonics.

Name your favorite sax solo.
Me (tenor) doing Pink Panther solo live, 1972, in front of 750 screaming high school twits. Man, I rocked. (I cannot say for sure whether they were screaming, a la Beatle-crazy fans, or screaming laughter. Maybe both? Likely not.)
