"The devil came from Kansas" - side 1 of A Salty Dog - Procul Harum. This song appeared years before the infamous BTK killer started his spree in Wichita! Eerrie!

"Moon turn the tides gently away ... 1983" Side 1 of Electric Ladyland - J.Hendrix, of course! Dig the flying saucer sounds as the song finishes!
Discontinued equipment that you wish were still here. What do you miss or think will miss?
The KLH Nine full-range electrostat! Arguably the best speaker of the Golden Age! Not many made so most younger audiophiles have never heard (or owned) a pair or two. I've had mine since 1992 - an original owner pair. Still working properly and aw...
Your Favorite Female Vocal Track Please
Kate Bush: Wuthering Heights from The Kick Inside. A great LP and longtime favorite!

How about a Crown XLS1502 amp? 300 wpc/8ohms - $399 + free shipping from multiple online sites! If it had an extra zero in the price it might have more "audiophile" credibility!
Whats the FATTEST sounding Tube amp to warm up Lean speakers?
Dynaco ST70 with KT66's!
Help with a gift Vinyl Collection and Onkyo CP-1280F Turntable
That sounds good! And you can then go up a level or two with a better Grado! The thread-n-weight anti-skate is primitive - but will work (I have one on my Grace tonearm). Lucky you getting some fine jazz LPs!

Buy a new Project TT and a new Grado Black cartridge ($75). Your non-working Onkyo TT is worth little. The Grado G1 is probably too worn to be of any more use!
Audio Note E Speaker Tweak: Easy Effective And Inexpensive
My Snell Type E's (basically the same as the Audio Note E's) use wool strips around the dome tweeters to control dispersion. They do sound very nice!

You are welcome!
Rotel Turntable RP 9400 ....any opinions please
+1 Schubert! I agree - the Grado Black is a good choice - and a lot better than the Ortofon!
Audio Research SP-5
I have an SP6 for use with my Paoli - Dyna MkIII's. An excellent combination! Competitive sonically with today's expensive tube gear!
Audio Research SP-5
The SP4 and 5 were among the WORST sounding preamps of their era! Irritating, bright, edgy highs (that some mistook for "definition"!). About as bad as a Dyna PAS 4! No wonder that ARC quickly stopped production! All of their SS gear from the late...
Enough power?
YES!
