I own a couple pairs of totem speakers currently and very pleased with the sound. For a large room (very large) and more $$$$'s, i would look at the Revel studios or salon...
2 Classe ca 100's vs 1 Classe ca 200 ? i almost purchased a classe amp(s) to go with my classe preamp and cd player but in the end decided to go with a pair of odyssey monoblock amps. very similiar sound, but saved $$$$ compared to the ca-201, ca-301 and the cam monoblocks.
SACD/Redbook one-box solution? There have been a couple of players that were excellent in both sacd and redbook cd in the past: the classe and accuphase. I heard the musical fidelity tube sacd/cd player at he2003 and was very impressed. if you have $6000+ for a unit, there is n...

odyssey extreme compared to odyssey mono's i talked with klaus at he2003 and he described to me what he would do to modify my monoblocks to the extreme. I am on the list to get them modified in august. i was impressed.
Talon Hawks if you are talking about the totem hawks, these were very nice. I listened to them for more than 20 mins during the he2003 show. I also liked the totem forest speakers that vince brought with him. these were some of the best sounding speakers (imo...

Phillips 963SA - anyone compared? gthirteen, i have not used the 963sa extensively in my audio setup. after around 50 hours of breakin, i evaluated the 2 players. the 963sa was better than the 9000es except in sacd playback, but it was very close comparison, not a night and day di...

Classe, Pass Labs or Odyssey i used to own mcintosh, yamaha, and ati amps and integrated amps in the past. I then demo'd the classe 201 and 301, and their cam monoblocks, along with bryston, simaudio, and plinius amps and decided to go with the odyssey monoblocks with the cap...

About Sony 9000ES CD/SACD/DVD Player... i also have a 9000es sacd player. i visited dan from modwright and we demo'd modified and unmodified versions of the 9000es player. the mods made a huge difference in redbook cd playback. IMO, the sony sacd players (scd-1, 777es, and the 9000es) a...
Best small speaker I like my Totem Model 1's. You will need a good amp to bring out the sweetness of these speakers. The NAD won't do it. IMO
