Hearing is believing?........power cables.......
be sure to replace the wiring in your house and get the utility to rewire back to the sub-station
Sorbathane under granite slabs for speaker bases?
Sorbothane, or any elastic substance will allow the speaker to move - esp. when a bass note at high volume is sounded.  This is a no-no in any box speaker, as that will phase-modulate all of the sound. If you have box speakers, you want spikes.
MMGs
1.7s without a doubtDMGs can be tricky to place correctly and need to be in front of the arc (from the users listening spot) the main speakers are on (IIRC from talking to Wendell)Mye stands and similar are of no use.  Dipole radiators do not have...

Small room electrostat/ planar speaker?
I'll modify this a bit:Nothing with meaningful bass is going to sound great in an 11x12 room [without a LOT of treatments incl. bass traps] - too small and nearly square, double trouble. But you may be able to arrange things with the speakers and l...

will you run it all the way back to the sub-station?
Small room electrostat/ planar speaker?
Wendell told me the wall mounts do not have as good an SQ vs. cost curve as the floor standing speakers.  He also told me that the 3.7's have a SMALLER acoustical footprint than the 1.7's - when I asked if that was due to the different technologie...

yes, Maggie & ARC are not just neighbors but have been incestuous neighborsmore recently, Magneplanar has used Bryston amps - at least at showssomeone will mention the Sanders magtech, which is designed for electrostatics, not maggies (tho it ...
