Thank you jf47t,  take care.

rvpiano,Ok.  I just hope you can take my initial reply to you in the spirit it was given: mostly in jest. I'm not looking to get in to a cable debate in this thread. (I don't claim cables can't produce an audible difference, btw).
Talk but not walk?
jf47t,Thank you for that response!e) The topic is directly about "Talk but no walk" Making adjustments to your system is walking. And yet his OP was mostly about "talking" and "faking it." His very last question summing up the OP was "why fake it?"...

Ah, ok, thanks.nkonor, mostly it's just been finding a really good chunk of time to do the subs right.  The 2.7s already sound pretty huge by themselves, especially playing vinyl.Back to the thread...

That's weird.  I had skimmed a post addressed to me about my Thiels/subwoofers, went back to it to read it and respond,  but it was removed.  I wonder why?

rvpiano,Well, I'm glad that's settled.I simply can't imagine any way a human being could be mistaken about what they hear.Thanks.;-)
Which material sounds better for speakers construction? Wood, Ply or MDF?
As to the question of the OP:  the heck if I know. But just from user experience:  I've had tons of speakers of all sorts of designs, from the "we let the specially selected wood resonate with the music" (Shun Mook speakers), to Harbeth (Super HL5P...

prof, get a hobbySorry, what were you saying?  I was busy just listening to some Neil Young, followed by some Prog Rock by Goblin, some Electronic dance music on Tidal, and then some Bernard Herrmann symphonic music on vinyl.  Each genre sounded w...
Talk but not walk?
What an absolute shock that MG made yet another "angry people" post instead of one with content relevant to what people have written, or even content relevant to his own thread subject. But, I doubt any of us can get enough about what a cheery, ni...

I find it odd the free reign Audiogon seems to be giving *certain* manufacturers to promote their business on the forums, especially given A-gon's own stated policies. But a post which suggested a web site makes claims that seem to be less than sub...

@grannyring If you are looking specifically for talk on "Tuning," why would you be coming to this thread? There is already an A-gon thread Michael G created specifically devoted to his method of tuning:The Method Of Tuning:https://forum.audiogon.c...
