Magic Diamond vs Airtight PC1?
Hemisferick,I'd also be curious about a comparison between the Dynavector and the Goldfinger.
Should I upgrade?
What sonic qualities are you looking to improve? What are your sonic priorities? What is the rest of your system?
Looking to start a vintage jazz collection,
The Rega signature is clean and tight as opposed to fleshy and rich. In the right system it can be balanced to your taste. The pitch can be fixed with an outboard power supply from Heed or if you wait for the new P3 due out in about a month it has...
Which would you choose- Lyra, Zyx or Benz for VPI
Audiofeil, wouldn't the Celebration be on the warm side of his preferences?Raul?
Looks like I need another stage...suggestions?
I agree with pursuing the bird-almost-in-the-hand, but in case you decide to change to the Phonomenon bear in mind that it has been replaced in the Musical Surroundings line by the battery powered Nova. Similar but much better than the Phonomenon ...

David12,There are a few issues that generally IME contribute to this situation. First, usually the retail price has to bear a cut for distribution and retailers. Even when the product is sold direct, if the product is also sold through dealers the...
Should I Brush My Cartridge After Each Use?
One unattentive customer called me in for a house call regarding a turtable that wasn't tracking at all only to find that there was a massive dustball lodged on the cartridge. I had given him a brush which he hadn't bothered to use, being your bas...
New Maplenoll Ariadne owner needing advice
Below are the specs from the website on the DR 500:Super Silent compressors are virtually "noiseless" and are totally automatic. Each unit includes a tank and line pressure gauge, line pressure regulator, moisture trap-filter-gauge, safety-valve, ...
Should I Brush My Cartridge After Each Use?
Personally, I drink the single malt then lick the cartridge but I'm into piercings too.
Should I Brush My Cartridge After Each Use?
Hadn't thought of the adhesive gluing the stylus onto the cantelever. I had thought of migration of solvent up the cantelever to the suspension. Doesn't seem to be a problem for either though.
