McIntosh C2300 Power Cord Recommendation I like the Harmonic Technology Magic or the Lessloss line.
ARC LS25 with PASS X250 - bad match? Seems bright. ARC products are bright sounding, more like solid state. Pass is not a bright amp.
Mcintosh owners tube discussion For my system the Psvane Treasures fron Grant Fidelity are excellent with the C2300 good as my NOS tubes For NOS the Brimars work very well, just make sure they are the ones in the black and red box's not the red and yellow boxes which are really ...
Has anybody heard the new Audio Research LS 27? Funny I just read Ref5-SE already released, how long did that take. Same old ARC. Great marketing.
who has done the ARC REF5 upgrade to SE ARC is still doing the upgrade game. Which is why I stopped considering them. REf5 cost a few good bucks, and now they have a SE version. Think they could get it right the 1st time. Sorry to hear they would not share with you, it would have been i...
Usher BE-20 nominal impendance ? Not enough power. Go with a McIntosh amp like the MC402, you will be very happy.
Amps for ESL Try a McIntosh MC402 amp you will have no issues. They use auto transformers and function like a tube amp. Quad 62 will sing.
Can I still buy Quad ESL63 with no repair record? Panels last 15-20 years if you take care of them, if your touchy then 10 years and send them in for a check up. To many myth about these speakers. 100,000 of thousands in service still, amps and there ability to drive them has improved over the ma...
Cheap tweaks...What would YOU reccomend? Simple and cheap Cardas caps for unused RCA inputs. Digital Terminator for CD player unused digital output. Unreal improvement due to lack of noise. Who says digital cannot sound good, wrong!
Attn Vinyl lovers - what CD Player do you use? Opera Droplet 5.0. Superb for any format sound wise.
Review: Millennium M-CD-Mat Tweak You will find no lose of air or detail with Ultra Bit Disc Damper, Shiney side down on the disc and music just opens up and comes to life, 3D imaging, depth and all you find so pleasing with LP's on a 10K turn table. To note also the Marantz SA7-S...
When is digital going to get the soul of music? Digital has SOUL as long as the mastering was done right and you have a well made and designed player. Early digital was like the 78 record, and like analog, it improved over time, as more was understood about this new technology. The one advantag...
Review: Wadia 781 CD Player I own the stock unit and sold it after hearing a Droplet of my friend smoke it. Did not buy the Droplet, but dam it was good, and looks to kill and build quality 2nd to none. He paid $3,200 for it! The unit weight 60 lbs if I recall, fit and finis...
Review: : M-CD Mat :The Millennium CD Mat: Tweak Nice mat but was soundly beaten with a mat made by George Lewis who also makes Ultra Platimum Plus. His mats can be used to fine tune any system, so you have more than one way of using his mats. I hear more solid, open, and natural detail, much li...
Dynaudio Confidence 5 vs Harbeth Any issue with the Confidence C5 is setup and room. The myth of power is a myth, I use the McIntosh MC402 with no issues. Yes the speakers take some current to roll, but I seen tough speaker loads on and amps and the C5 loading is not really that ... |
