Esoteric K01: What are the best settings for CD?
After using my K-01 for a year now. I found the best setting for most music is no up sampling (org). With filter set to Sdyl-2. Sound has so much depth, tone, color, transparent with 3D presence. I was rather shocked at the improvement. I never li...
When is digital going to get the soul of music?
It has Soul. It all goes back to mastering. I have owned LP's 1st pressings and 1200 CD's some of the LP's sound better others times CD's sound better. Digital you need a low noise floor, kill the noise from RF by terminating unused inputs and out...
Esoteric K01: What are the best settings for CD?
Dgarreston. Use a Harmonic Technology Magic power cord that filters all 3 areas of AC, you won't feel the same. I have 2 of them, thought of selling them, tried several others, pulled my ad and I am keeping the HT cords. There is no equal for fron...
Esoteric K01: What are the best settings for CD?
The recording should make or break the sound quality. Always been that way, nice thing is you can use FIR or sdly 1 setting to smooth things out. I never leave Org. though. No different than a phono cartridge, some are vivid and in your face, other...
Esoteric K01: What are the best settings for CD?
I think when using the Esoteric el natural org and DF setting much like the SACD when played you are hearing the quality of the DAC's in this unit without manipulating the information off the disc. These units have superb DAC's. I listened to Sina...
Esoteric K01: What are the best settings for CD?
Guido,I like DF Off and Org. Much more organic sounding, 2nd S_DLY1 with Org. FRI with Org on recordings that need some body due to poor production. I like none of the 2X or 4X up sampling modes takes way from the recording to much. FIR 2 I like a...
Esoteric K01: What are the best settings for CD?
I am going against the grain here. But I let my music tell me when the setting sound the best. For a year I used org setting with S_DLY1. I liked it a lot. 2x and 4x's were a change but a change that lost the feel and the details, kind of like a s...
Lessloss Anchorwave speaker cable
Great speaker cables. Very musical and open. Very heavy and a bit tough to work with, but the sonics are great. Good value also.
Why are Voodoo Cables not seen on Audiogon used?
Why stay away? You need a marketer saying how great our cables are, Voodoo sells by word of mouth and really that is the best marketing there is. I owned several and love them, and I've owned all the big names also. Your missing out on some good w...
Why are Voodoo Cables not seen on Audiogon used?
Because they sound good. Like LessLoss cables. We keep them, and are not on the merry-go-round of buying cables over and over. Point proven you will see the same names for sale over and over, why folks are not happy or they think the next and late...
Review: LESSLOSS DFPC Signature Power cord
Lessloss makes great products. Don't think just PC, there speaker wire and I.C.'s are 2nd to none.
Review: Transparent Audio Cable Ref + mm2 ICs + SC Interconnect
All cables no matter the cost are system depended and really the room and finally what one likes ones system to sound like that bring that listener enjoyment. One of the best designs out there and you never see them for resale a lot is Lossloss. T...
Why are Voodoo Cables not seen on Audiogon used?
They are excellent. Like Lossloss cables, folks buy them and keep them. They both made well made cables, with Lessloss really using new designs from their power cords thru their speaker cables, sonic bliss from both.
Voodoo cables Crystal vajra
All of Voodoo cables are great and well built. Sonics are open, present with great transparency, yet not bright. I've have the Black Diamond PC, Cermora cables, and fire power cords for my electrostatics.
Quad ESL-63 and low-powered amps; Sun Audio, Atma
This speaker will sing with high powered amps, like the McIntosh amps, MC402. The myth is these speakers can work fine with low power amps, even with my subs I use the MC402.
