Is it good to upgrade the crossovers in your speakers?
You can change everything in a crossover but the point is what do you want to achieve. More detail, different character? The easiest part are the resistors and internal wiring and most likely what you refer as a sweet spot. Capacitors are costly,...
Dust cover up or down?
@cleeds is right, i remember a Dual having that problem, rub the cover with a cloth till it pulls the headshell/cartridge,arm up. Good game. Never experimented that on another tt.
Dust cover up or down?

Keep Vintage or sell for new
Your Threshold remains a great preamp with qualities that some new designs cannot dream of.  I remember the rave review at Stereophile by GH. But reality tells that this is a 30 year old design, a long time for a preamp no matter how state of the...
Led Zeppelin 11
Consider that first UK release on Discogs lastly sold for 1,5k us. and the highest asking in NM is 2,8k us. and up to 5k for RE 200 (M). The question is, would you buy it for investment or for pleasure. I would not see it as an investment. But yo...
A bit too "non-audiophile", but what are your favorite high-end tuners based on Looks?
Not in particular order, Onix BWD1, Pioneer F26, Sony STJ88B, Trio L02, Sansui TU9900, Yamaha CT7000, Kyocera T910. Never heard the Kyocera, even though one of the best looking i assume it would not match the others for sonics.
Audiophiles on Audiogon.
What a miss from a new poster (?) who entered here in order to learn something, if that was the intention. Most likely you did not care to search into the category menu. And finally all gear, fancy or not, are useless in the hands of an asinine.
Why should audiophile deniers be allowed on an audiophile forum?
Freedom of speech for sure, no one wants to be muted but does not mute when necessary. For the fidelity of discussion better use facts coming from true experience! General views, rejection due to incopetence of understanding, inexperience, kind of...
180g new vs. NM used
I tend to agree with @bdp24, having reissues and originals, though depending on genre and era I would prefer to look for original presses in nm or ex+ from ebay sellers, or check locally at stores selling used ones. Always have a list of wanted, ...
Revox A77 mk2
Most likely your source has to be ebay and from Europe. I live in Europe and have used ebay for parts for my B77 with success.
What I have found - Makes a good Cable !
@Williewonka Acoustic Revive uses CCC nearly in all of their products, Furutech in only 2 power cables. Acrolink uses mainly DUCC and Furutech in only two products. Other Japanese companies like AET and Hijiri do not specify purity of OFC used ...

Quad Of Tubes vs Two Matched Paira?
Is the cost much higher when ordering a matched quad instead of two matched pairs? When i had a power amp with 8 output tubes i always preferred to get them in matched quads, made me happier.
