tube pre & ss amp integrated Klipsch Forte 4, nice speakers! That is if you have a large room. The Klipsch are very effiecient. Also you need some volume and time to break in a new speaker before they sound their best. The room is very important.

What is your take on high efficient speakers vs. low efficient speakers? In my opinion high efficiency for larger rooms. Less efficient for smaller. It all depends on the room which affects the over all sound. Klipsch Horns in a 12x12 would sound awful. In a 20x20 wonderful. Also depends what's in the room.
Using battery power to go off the City's power grid Sbayne,, it was not my intention to upset you. Also, I am not arguing. I am electronics technician and know how to build an inverter so I know the theory. I am trying to understand an advantage of DC, to inverter over filtered AC power advantage. ...
Washington Post article on MoFi vs. Fremer vs. Esposito Wow! Deciet, dishonesty, misrepresentation. The non-authentic records should be replaced by a real tape master copy. Premium prices were paid.
For those of you who had spent over hundred thousand dollars for your sound system. If you are worth millions then $100k is reachable without any thought. . $$$$$ is in the ears of the beholder. Whatever makes you happy is what matters. There is a different world I cannot imagine. I heard 50k speakers that could not compete wit...
Using battery power to go off the City's power grid Not sure why you want to be off grid other than during a thunderstorm? With proper voltage regulation and filtering grid power is fine. Inverters can be noisy too. Especially under quick peak loads. Much power thermal losses with inverters too.
When a budget speaker is preferred to a high end one... I remember back in the 1980s several speakers come to mind that were very reasonable cost that sounded better than many higher priced speakers. 1. Ultralinier 100s. (El cheapo components.) 2. Advent speakers. 3. Radio Shack Minimus 7 Now. My D...
What cause tweeters hiss ? RFI radiated from someware or through the power being supplied can sound like hiss on the output. It is above human hearing so you the hiss might sound as a harmonic. RFI power filter may do the trick. Good grounding will help. I use power isolati...

What cable companies make the best cables and sell them directly? My experience. I can afford about $50 on RCA cables. Audioqest Evergreen had a bad connection after the first removal. The Worlds best cable had no issues. Speaker cable =install gear 10ga oxygen free copper. My friends joke and call me "ears" I...
Dynaudio - Made in China vs Denmark Here is my take on made in China. Though we would love to have everything made in Denmark or the United States or any free country, companies continue to have a communist adversary to build everything you can imagine. Here is the deal. How closely...
Whats playing on your system today? I am enjoying sound tracks from James Horner, John Williams and other great composers.
Best streamer for a returning audio guy The best bang for the dollar is the Blusound Node 2i. Sounds great through a Shiit Biftost DAC. The Bluesound is a bit harsh with no external quality DAC.
Ethernet - Analog/Digital Signal Clean Up I hate to be a spoiler here. I use a Netgear AC 1200 (works on AC wire from node to node from the Comcast router.)Then I really wreck it using a netgear $35 1GB switch distributing to a Bluesound node 2i. I further wreck The system connecting my ... |
