Do you remember?
The company still exists from what I can tell, and has concentrated on its Anthem line. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Do you remember?
John, no what I am saying is that the price that was asked for the product was probably correctly set to enable the manufacturer to make enough money to stay in business. But all this hinges on how many units the manufacturer can sell. You are say...
Do you remember?
As a follow up to my first answer, now I think I know what caused the demise of Sonic Frontiers: I was looking at the new listings for the day and there was one for an SF preamp, looked at the pictures and now I'm certain I know what done it: the ...

John, you have that back asswards: they don't gouge the buyer, so they don't reap the rewards of the fundamental equation of high-enders, that is more money always equals better sound. Designing, manufacturing and marketing hi-fi electronics is no...
Do you remember?
The disappearance of Sonic Frontiers always intrigued me as their products are still popular in the used market and still sell for fairly decent prices.
How to ship a Sota Sapphire without original box?
Don't. TTs are hard to get to their destination in one piece. Do yourself, but even more so the purchaser, a favour, get the proper box from SOTA.
Chesky Records & poor sevice,
They had a number available, but one of my orders was lost in the mail and they can only replace one of the three, the other two are no longer available from Tower. So strike Tower Records off your list for those!
Todays vinyl packaging observations
It's all packaging: SACDs better vinyl almost every time. Still miss the large jacket though.
How big a room for Dunlavy SC-V?
Certainly large speakers, but the room seems large enough to me. I heard them many years ago at a dealer in a smaller room and they sounded just fine. Too bad such a sensible manufacturer is now out of business.
Chesky Records & poor sevice,
Get them from another seller, Towers has quite a few of them, to name just one. There is a recent post on where to buy Chesky on AA.
Advice on my audio chain
Do you know anything about Viktor Khomenko, the man behind BAT? Check out ARC
Polk LSi9...good integrated amp to drive these???
Get a Dynalab receiver.
Rudy Van Gelder Remasters
I just bought Donald Byrd's "Royal Flush" and the sound is fine. Another player that was, somehow, in my blind spot. Got it for way less than full retail too. Give it a try.
Need to steer away from Bryston amp added to AVR
Why not try a pro amp such as Behringer? Lots of people like them. Some day they are junk. At the asking price worth a try.
Anti-Skating or just let it skate? Your opinion.
I'll stick to what Rega suggests for my P9.
